Brief overview of the Sig Sauer P226 Navy chambered in 9mm. The 226 is Sig Sauers full size service pistol available in 9mm, .357SIG, and .40S&W. Just a show and tell about the new gun I purchased and some thanks owed to a few of my friends. It's a BlackWater edition Sig Sauer P226R. It has some Blackwater logos either etched or engraved into the gun itself. I've not shot this yet, but can't wait to do so. The gun is a full sized Sig chambered in 9mm luger. The ammunition capacity is a 15+1. The gun also came with 5 Sig Sauer 15 rnd magazines. Beautifully machined weapon and finely detailed in every way. If you've owned a Sig Sauer pistol, then you can appreciate the quality and craftsmanship they put into thier line of pistols. This is a comprehensive review of the Sig Sauer P226 handgun. This review is of a .40 caliber model that was purchased new in early 2011. Prior to owning this Sig I had never owned or shot a Sig before. Prior to doing the review the weapon had been taken to the range for one session, therefore, my experience with it at the time of the review was somewhat limited, but I was comfortable that I had shot it enough to be able to give a good recount of how it functions, it's accuracy and reliability.

But what the heck, it shows some interesting data. Guns run by me here are a Bushmaster XM-15 and Sig P226 with discussed mods. The 18 rd MecGar magazine for the Sig P226 9mm I think had a round strip off it early, causing a loading jam (not the gun). The Bushy runs flawlessly even with Wolf ammo. Again DI guns generally will run this practice fodder with good success. Upgrades I make to the Sledge in 2011: only one paper bad guy now (left 35 yd target) and the far, barricade-shot targets are further now at 100 and 115 yds respectively (with either circle or mini torso plateheads on Evil Roy target stands from www.shopactiontarget.com). The incorporation of steel makes the course funner and faster, giving immediate feedback to the shooter. Scoring remains the same. Without any magnification, the 200 yd stage is a challenge with breathing elevated. I drop some critical points at that last stage and I put down a 239 sec run with 50 pts (maybe a 5 pt speed bonus as well, will check other runs). I thought I would finally upload the unboxing of my new Sig P226 Tactical Operations. (Tac Ops) The P226 is probably one of the greatest pistols ever made. This pistol was about $1100 and is worth every penny to me. The difference between the Tac Ops and other P226's are: Front Cocking serrations Hi-Vis Tritium front sight Magwell Grips 4 20 round 9mm magazines come with the gun Short Reset Trigger Out of the box the Double action is stiff and gritty but smooths out after cleaning and a few rounds down range. Out of the two, squ1d prefers the 226 just because of the added weight and feel of the gun. The 226 shoots a little hotter than the 229, but that isn't anything to be concerned about during an intense airsoft battle. You should be concerned about taking down that enemy and both of these airsoft pistols will do the trick.

This is part one of the cleaning. It is important to make sure you get all the gunk off the extractor. If it gets dirty and gummed up you will have ejection issues. Also keep in mind that it does not have to sparkle, but most of the residue should come off. There are other cleaners out there and I have tried and still use many of them, but I just went with this set for the video.

This is a complete, step-by-step take down ( total disassembly ) of a Sig Sauer P229. Can also be used as a guide for P224, P225, P226, P220 and P228. I am changing the trigger set up from the Sig Sauer new SRT ( Short Reset Trigger ) to the DAK ( Double Action Kellerman ). Continue to Part 2 for the DAK install and the complete re-assembly. This is my first YouTube video and I decided to upload it as my way of contributing to the YouTube 'Gun Community'. I've found some good ideas and helpful hints on here, seems like a great bunch of people! I know there are many videos of Glocks and 1911's, but I have not seen many complete detailed frame strips and re-assembly of Sig Sauer p-series. I've done a lot of work to many firearms, revolvers as well as semi-autos, and I regret not recording it all, so I will try to record more going forward. Basically, I can make a Ruger feel and function like a Kimber, and a Taurus feel like a S&W.... and yes, I also improve the triggers and operation of those high quality guns too! First impressions of my new (and very first) SIG Sauer, a full stainless steel P226 in .40 S&W. My thoughts on the gun and a few brief details and stats, but mostly just to show you how beautiful this little honey is. Sig Sauer P226 9mm gun cleaning part 1. Used a bore cleaning snake by Hoppes. Disassembled the Sig and soak all the bits with solvent. Clean the Mec-Gar magazines too. Just how I clean the gun after a day at the range.

Took the Sig P226 to the range and it was a fantastic gun to shoot. Being a 9mm, the recoil is easily handled therefore the accuracy is incredible. The gun ran flawlessly through 150 rounds of 115gr fmj. From 15yds, it grouped "for me" extremely tight. The guns recoil is perhaps the smoothest I felt. As of now, it is my favorite gun for the range. I do plan to retire the Kimber to the safe and maybe start carrying this firearm as a primary daily carry.

Sig Sauer P226 .22LR RimFire Conversion Kit. Bought this 22LR Conversion kit since the Sig Mosquitos are on backorder with no known release date for the next batch. This kit needs a good cleaning and lube job before I use it. Was binding on the rails so the clean and lube is a must.
