I had an instance where I was going up and about to enter into a cloud with two vultures yelling random absurdities like, 'BLAAAAAAA' , 'PPPPKKAAAAAWWWW', 'EYYYYYYYYYOOOOO' the whole way up to make sure they knew where I was.Just before the cloud visibility got very poor we all parted ways. A friend flying near by said it was one of the funniest most unusual ascents to cloud bases he'd ever witnessed. The thing that anyone that has flown there will tell you, is that when they are flying they are looking for prey down below so they are not looking around at you or where they are going all the time - also these vultures are very big and like to hang out near wings on occasion. The HobbyKing RC Paraglider model looks hard to fly but is actually very easy once you get the launch technique right. The overhead launch has worked great for me - also because I do not have a runway to use. The stock servo stripped after an encounter with a light pole but has been replaced with a better, more durable HXT 9g servo. This ARF model (needs a battery) comes with a 2.4 Ghz radio - it could be possible to mod with a "better" TX/RX but the stock setup is reliable (will not win a beauty contest though). Each landing was rough but the model is still in one piece. Aside from the stripped servo, a plastic brake line needs replacement after wrapping around the motor shaft. The brushed motor provides adequate power for the model and going brushless will add more power and flight time - but I am happy leaving at stock with about 10 minutes flying time. The model is definitely an eye catcher and when you learn the proper flying techniques is a lot of fun to fly around the field with.
