If anyone has a broadcast master of any of the Dr. Funkenstein promo clips please let us know as we are trying to reacquire several "lost" Casablanca Records film and videotape elements. See our Web site for more details. AND PARTY EVERY DAY is the very first full-length book about the infamous 1970s record label and its enigmatic founder Neil Bogart. In a blizzard of wild parties, spending, and fearless ambition, Casablanca Records launched the careers of KISS, Donna Summer, Parliament Funkadelic, Angel, the Village People, and single-handedly created the disco movement. Add an Academy Award-winning film division with product like The Deep, Midnight Express, Foxes, and The Hollywood Knights and you begin to understand why Casablanca became the hottest record label of the 1970s. Brown vs. Cameron during Queen's Speech debate

State Opening of Parliament. Closing remarks of Prime Minister Gordon Brown during the 2007 Queen's Speech debate with Leader of the Opposition David Cameron in a scene similar to PMQs (Prime Minister's Questions). During the discussion, David Cameron refers to Brown in the first person, which is technically out-of-order in the House of Commons, but the Speaker doesn't do anything about it. When asked by Cameron about inheritance tax Brown gives an immediate and direct answer, however he then evades the question about the election that never was. I wonder why?

Parliament Funkadelic - Cosmic Slop - Mothership Connection - Houston 1976

gravityworld.tv It was Halloween night and Parliament Funkadelic was about to tear the roof off the Houston Summit, ready to bless the crowd with their cosmic brew of interplanetary funk. George Clinton, Bernie Worrell, Bootsy Collins and the rest of the P-Funk collective were riding the success of their first Top 5 R&B hit, "Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucker)," a track that had earned them the kind of radio play that would bring the masses out to see them live in a stadium-sized arena. The group was only five dates into the tour when they arrived in Houston, but they were definitely ready to take it to the stage for an out-of-this-world show like no other. Taped on October 31, 1976, these seldom-seen performances at the Houston Summit represent Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic in their ʼ70s prime, in the era of their Mothership Connection and The Clones Of Dr. Funkenstein LPs—a rare opportunity for everyone to get their proper dose of The P-Funk. www.amazon.com

Uncut Funk!: Parliament Funkadelic (1of6)

For over 30 years, countless Artists, Musicians, and Producers have been influenced, driven, enlightened, propelled, supported, compensated financially, and enhanced by the creative, unorthodoxed, funkdefied sound of this mega-group. Here everyone, is the history of the P! P-Funk to all you maggot brains! Those knowing Parliament Funkadelic, understand what is meant by that phrase; maggot brain... as well as the names like Starchild, Sir Nose and what a bop-gun is... This epic Funkography was released in 2005, and was only broadcast on PBS (Public Broadcasting Station), in the US, a few times that year. However, this was the Writer's and Director's goal. To have the public educated, through an educational channel, on the history of the P, Parliament Funkadelic and George Clinton. It's all good... And, after inhaling this in-depth well rolled hydroponic funkdefied joint, you will now have your license to the mothership connection. All aboard! Credits: A Brazen Hussy Production, Inc. *Written and Directed By: Yvonne Smith *Produced By: Harlene Freezer *Voice of Animated Character / Narrator: Eddie Griffin *Released to the public: 2005

P. Funk (Wants To Get Funked Up) - Parliament (1975)

"P. Funk (Wants To Get Funked Up)" is a funk song by Parliament. It is the first track on their 1975 album "Mothership Connection" and was the first single to be released from the album. It was also released as the B-side of the album's second single, "Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucker)". It reached number 33 on the US R&B chart. "Mothership Connection" is the fourth album by American funk band Parliament, released in 1975. This concept album of P-Funk mythology is usually rated as one of Parliament's best. "Mothership Connection" was the first P-Funk album to feature Maceo Parker and Fred Wesley, who had left The JB's, James Brown's backing band. "Mothership Connection" became Parliament's first album to be certified gold and later platinum. In 2003 the TV network VH1 named "Mothership Connection" the 55th greatest album of all time. Parliament was a funk band most prominent during the 1970s. It and its sister act Funkadelic, both led by George Clinton, began the funk music culture of that decade. George Clinton (born July 22, 1941) is an American singer, songwriter, bandleader, and music producer and the principal architect of P-Funk. He was the mastermind of the bands Parliament and Funkadelic during the 1970s and early 1980s, and began his work as a solo artist in 1981. He has been called one of the most prominent innovators of funk music. Clinton became a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, after being inducted in 1997 with fifteen other members of ...

The only bit of real passion we had was Mr Schulz slagging off the English but that now appears to be the sort of popular sport in this parliament. And when people stand up and talk about the great success that the EU has been I'm not sure that anybody saying it really believes it themselves anymore. I think we are celebrating the wrong day. We shouldn't be celebrating the 9th of May, we should be celebrating the 8th of May, Victory in Europe Day. We should celebrate the last time the Germans tried to smash the continent and they foundered and at least half the continent got its democracy back. What we are celebrating on the 9th of May is another attempt through different means, to smash democracy across Europe. I don't doubt for a minute that Jean Monnet was well intentioned from the start. He thought that if you abolish nation states you would stop there ever being another war.
