The PAF Sherdils formation aerobatics team comprising nine K-8 aircraft will perform an aerial display during the air show. This is for the first time that a PAF Sherdil formation aerobatic team will perform in any international event of this stature. Three indigenously manufactured JF-17 Thunder fighter aircraft would also be on aerial/static display at the exhibition. Sorry, you might have to turn your volume up to hear it... I was asked to perform my pvc instrument (based off of Blue Man Group's pvc instrument ;-D) again, but this time in joint school talent showcase called Battle of the Bands. This is the first time that the two rival schools have ever done a show together, so we weren't sure about what to expect...but i was definitely surprised to find out that only 40ish people showed up! The reasons why not too many people were there... -You had to participate in 'Community Work Day' which was this thing where you had to work for four hours and earn 8 dollars an hour totaling up to 32 dollars which would then be donated to our school district. -For the people who didn't participate in 'Community Work Day' they had to pay 32 dollars to get in! -Most of the people who did participate in 'Community Work Day' either decided not to go or didn't go to the show, but came later for the dance afterwards. So, you'll see in the video why I had some trouble the end because I rely on audience participation, but it's kind of hard when there's no one there! haha Aside from my performance, the whole show was just a little weird so i'm hoping it'll be better next year. This all female wakeboard video celebrates the launch of an all new website created by Ally Boothroyd to promote and support girls wakeboarding and wakeskating. Featuring Erika Langman, Kayle McMillen, Leslie Sparkes and Ally Boothroyd of Ontario, Canada. Although equal participation and opportunity for girls in the sport of wakeboarding may not be as important as something like the right to vote, its still an area where old habits die hard. Maybe its partly because of a lack of encouragement and opportunity from the industry, and partly because of a lack of confidence and initiative from the girls, but whatever the reason, female wakeboarders are overshadowed by the boys when it comes to sponsorship, participation, competition categories/prizes, exposure, and hype in general.
