The event will mobilize and more than 150 artists, musicians and dancers on stage for a single concert. All rhythms and colors of the African musical creativity will be honored and Africa will come together in Paris to celebrate African culture. At 67, Patience Dabany is the most experienced female artist at the event. Born in 1944 as Marie Joséphine Kama into a family of musicians from the region of Haut-Ogooué, Gabon, Patience Dabany was a wife in 1959 at the age of 15 to Albert-Bernard Bongo. When he became the president of Gabon in 1967, Patience Dabany was the first lady. She became involved in many social projects, including the promotion of women's rights and charities for children. She was called Madam President for 18 years, before she left her husband to start a career as an artist between Africa and the United States. She has helped a new generation of artists to jumpstart their careers, such as Oliver Ngoma, Aziz inanga and Assélé Angela (her niece), who also became a star in Gabon. LA MAMA patience dabany : Le Djazzé la nouvelle video Patience Dabany, a le vent en poupe ! La Mama, qui vient à peine de sortir un single annonciateur de son prochain opus et, une vidéo de ce dernier diffusée sur les diverses chaines de télé locale, peaufine un best-of de ses vidéo. Son manager et responsable de communication Edgar Yonkeu, en a récemment fait la communication. Ce produit qui arrive à point nommé pour la fin de l'année ; comme un cadeau, sera un condensé du parcours en clip-vidéo, de la carrière sans embûche de la Mama. Quant à son prochain effort, il devrait contenir une dizaine de titres et offrir aux mélomanes avertis, de grands moments de musique. Et comme sait si bien le faire l'auteur, compositeur et interprète, se sera un album éclectique en sonorités et en rythme. A savoir par ailleurs que Patience Dabany, a honoré de sa présence le Jeudi 30 Septembre dernier, la salle du Casino Croisette qui recevait deux artistes de la relève : Laurianne Ekondo et Mamy Maaf, deux jeunes chanteuses gabonaises s'étant produites à tour de rôle dans le cadre de la promotion d'une nouvelle campagne de la dernière maison de téléphonie mobile à s'être installée au Gabon. La Mama, en spectatrice attendrie, a tenu à soutenir ses « filles » et bien évidemment, sa présence n'a laissé personne indifférent.

Excellent Music from Gabon! Here's some information about Patience. She was born in Brazzaville, Congo, but her parents originates from the Bateke people in Haut-Ogooué region in South Eastern Gabon in Central Africa. Patience Dabany grew up in a musical family and began to sing at an early age to her father's accordion accompaniment, while her brother played guitar. From there her path led to the church choir in Brazzaville and on to traditional song performances. She later married Albert Bernard Bongo, the President in Gabon. As the first lady of the republic, she worked with culture, and among other things, she was responsible for the creation of the group Superstars.
