Paul performed at a flashmob for Deutsche Telekom (T mobile elsewhere in world) celebrating the 20th anniversary of the falling of the Berlin Wall. The German movement towards this started in Leipzig, hence why the event was in Leipzig. As an encore, Paul performed Nessun Dorma. Elizabeth Marvelly called Paul a few days after the Christchurch earthquake and asked him if he was in the NZ or Pacific area on April 2nd, and if so would he be willing to perform in a benefit concert for Red Cross in New Zealand's appeal for the people of Chistchurch. Paul upped sticks paid for his own flight 10000 miles the other side of the world and then almost missed the show being admitted to hospital with celulitis. He did make it though thanks to a nurse who lost his mother in the earthquake. A message from Paul: "Elizabeth did incredibly well putting this concert together in just 5 weeks. Over NZ$ 150000 has been raised for Christchurch. Thankyou to all that attended and all fellow cast members including Dame Malvina Major. "
