These particles make up all visible matter in the universe. Every high energy physics experiment carried out since the mid-20th century has eventually yielded findings consistent with the Standard Model. Still, the Standard Model falls short of being a complete theory of fundamental interactions because it does not include gravitation, dark matter, or dark energy. It is not quite a complete description of leptons either, because it does not describe nonzero neutrino masses, although simple natural extensions do. • en.wikipedia.org --- PHOTONS Photons are the gauge bosons the force carriers for Electromagnetism. Photon is the Energy to Maintain all Kinds of Life on Earth

Photon is the Only Energy to Maintain all Kinds of Life on Earth. Albert Einstein said: "Everything in life is vibration" All kinds of life on Earth are direct or indirect photon eaters. Plants can use water, inorganic salts and carbon dioxide to growth up because they are all direct photon eaters. The vast majority of the energy potentially available for use on Earth arrives in the form of visible light from the Sun. Plants have evolved to do an efficient job of capturing some of that photons and storing it as potential energy in organic molecules. The yielding electrons from the low ionization energy elements are captured by high electronegativity elements and at same time, photon energy is released from the captured electrons. Coded photon energy flow is the top secret of life.

Hardware-Accelerated Global Illumination by Image Space Photon Mapping

Image Space Photon Mapping (ISPM) rasterizes a light-space bounce map of emitted photons surviving initial-bounce Russian roulette sampling on a GPU. It then traces photons conventionally on the CPU. Traditional photon mapping estimates final radiance by gathering photons from a kd tree. ISPM instead scatters indirect illumination by rasterizing an array of photon volumes. Each volume bounds a filter kernel based on the a priori probability density of each photon path. These two steps exploit the fact that initial path segments from point lights and final ones into a pinhole camera each have a common center of projection. An optional step uses joint bilateral upsampling of irradiance to reduce the fill requirements of rasterizing photon volumes. ISPM preserves the accurate and physically-based nature of photon mapping, supports arbitrary BSDFs, and captures both high- and low-frequency illumination effects such as caustics and diffuse color interreflection. An implementation on a consumer GPU and 8-core CPU renders high-quality global illumination at up to 26 Hz at HD (1920x1080) resolution, for complex scenes containing moving objects and lights. Fun with Light: Strong Photon-Photon Interactions and Meta-Materials

Google Tech Talk July 10, 2009 ABSTRACT Fun with Light: Strong Photon-Photon Interactions and Meta-Materials Presented by Jung-Tsung Shen The lightsaber is a supercool gadget that all of us would like to get one. It exhibits many novel light phenomena, notably the light blades of two lightsabers could interact with each other. Unfortunately it takes an enormous amount of energy to achieve that. One of the main difficulties of making a lightsaber is that photons normally do not interact with each other. In the first part of the talk, I will describe how to make photons interact with each other, which enables the capability of using photons to control photons. This capability has many potential applications in quantum communication and information processing, and other novel optoelectronics devices. Moreover, the configuration is well-suited for on-chip all solid-state implementations. In the second part of the talk, I will briefly explain what metamaterials are, and some novel optical tricks they can play, such as Harry Potter's invisibility cloak and super lens. In particular, I will discuss the mechanisms and properties of a special class of metamaterials -- metamaterials with ultra-high refractive index. Such artificial structures will be useful in many applications such as subwavelength lithography and imaging, broadband slow-light, and sensitive interferometer. (* The talk is for general audience with no background in these fields. *) Dr. Jung-Tsung Shen is currently <b>...</b>

Photon Belt Passage

Princess Kaoru Nakamaru about 2012 www.youtube.com Frequency Change - Dimension shift as per WIKI, The Photon Belt (also called the Photon Band, Photon Ring, Manasic Ring, or Golden Nebula) is a pseudo-scientific belief, largely linked to some parts of the New Age Movement. It postulates that a belt or ring of photons is going to envelop the Earth, causing a cataclysm and/or initiating a spiritual transition (referred to variously as a "shift in consciousness," the "Great Shift," the "Shift of the Ages,"[1][2][3][4][5] the "Zero Point," or the "Ascension Point"[6][7][8][9]), with the time period leading up to "the Shift" referred to as "The Quickening." The concept of the Photon Belt also ties in to various phenomena including belief in extraterrestrial intelligence and 2012 millenarianism. The core of the Photon Belt beliefs is that there is an immense belt of photons orbiting around the Pleiades. According to some New Age beliefs, Earth will pass though this belt of photons, resulting either in humanity's elevation to a higher plane of existence, the end of the world, or both. Authors Virginia Essene (born 1928) and Sheldon Nidle (born 1946) write that the Photon Belt represents a temporary window for spiritual transition during which time humans can reach a higher level of existence, which they term the "galactic" level.[10] The concept of the Photon Belt was first presented in 1950 by Paul Otto Hesse (died 1958) in his work Der Jüngste Tag (The Last Day). DeMystifying the Schizophrenic Photon

Presents a description of the nature of the photon that offers a solution to the wave-particle / dualist dilemma. The conundrum is best demonstrated in labs with experiments with lasers and slits, and the puzzling interference pattern that is produced. This phenomenon is probably best popularized in the movie, What the Bleep do we Know?. Just as electrons in atoms exhibit a type of quantum behavior, I contend that when photons are launched through slits, they exhibit a similar type of quantum behavior. And its this behavior at the slit that produces the resulting interference pattern; however with no reliance on the mind-numbing notion that an individual photon can somehow interfere with itself. UCL Lunch Hour Lecture: Photons, spacecraft, atomic clocks and Einstein -- fundamental physics in the space environment Professor Marek Ziebart (UCL Space Geodesy and Navigation) Satellites designed, built and launched by humans orbit the earth to carry out a myriad of tasks, friendly and hostile, commercial and scientific. Many of these missions supply critical data to model, mitigate and predict planet-scale processes such as El Nino events, sea level rise, plate tectonics and the earthquake cycle. The spacecraft move at between 4 and 8 kilometres per second, and are between 500 and 20000 km above the earth's surface but for scientific purposes we need to know where they are to within a few centimetres, and we need to know the time they transmit their signals at the nano-second level. This lecture explains how that is achieved using concepts from fundamental physics.

The Light Photon the Particle-Wave and the Dance of Creation.

If our eyes worked at a different wavelength we would be able to see that everything is radiating light wave of electromagnetic radiation continuously. Objects interact with the particle wave duality of light continuously forming new electromagnetic waves. In a new theory this universal and continuous process forms the time continuum or Arrow of time itself. Therefore the uncertainty and probability of everyday life is the same uncertainty we have in quantum physics. The atoms bound together and then collapse the particle wave duality of light in unison forming the uncertainty of their own potential future position and momentum relative to their energy or mass. We see and feel this as the forward passage of time. We have an Arrow of time, but we also have Proper Time. The rate that time flows relative to the energy or mass of an object. Time will run slower around an object of great mass forming time dilation and the geometry of Einstein's curvature of spacetime. We all form our own future spacetime relative to our energy or mass that will have a potential probability of our future position and momentum. Therefore Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle of quantum physics is the same uncertainty that we have in our everyday life. This theory might sound child-like but it is based on the Correspondence Principle and has a one-to-one correspondence between an element of the theory and an element of reality. We have probability propagating according to the laws of cause and <b>...</b>

Rainbows, Photons and the eye. "Science"

Everyone see their own rainbow! In just three dimensions relative to the angle they are looking at it. Two people in different positions will see the same rainbow in different position in the sky at the same time. This could just be an optical illusion; just a trick of the light or it could represent something fundamental in the science of the dynamics of light and time. You might be thinking that this is just because all the angles are changing and that everything is relative and you will be right. But the wavelengths (colours) of the light are moving in unison because light is a universal constant independent of the source and the observer. In this science theory the speed of light is a universal constant because each new photon particle of light is also a new moment in time that forms geometry of spacetime. It is odd that in some science theories we need ten dimensions or more to explain the paradoxes of quantum physics, but in our everyday life everyone can see their own rainbow in just three dimensions. This video explains a process of continuous creation or change formed by quantum wave particle function collapsing and reforming this creates the uncertainty ∆E ∆t ≥ h/2π of the forward passage of time and a process of spherical ∆×∆p×≥h/4π symmetry forming and breaking. This forms the basic geometry that human mathematics is based upon. We see and feel this continuous alternating between wave and particle as the continuous flow of time. Just like the tick tock <b>...</b>

Attractive poles (NS or SN) never have a direct connection between them. The video is all about photon conduction, moving photons from point A to point B, There seems to be one angle that lights the whole thing up, like some 3d elliptical plane affect. The colors have been inverted to show the contours better. All Rights Reserved 1/17/2008
