
Mackinaw City, Mich. — For cooking enthusiasts who have done it all, theres now another learning opportunity coming your way. From 6:00 pm 8:00 pm on July 7, July 14, July 21, or July 28 its your turn to cook from the hearth colonial-style. Colonial cooking classes are being offered for the first time at the authentically reconstructed Langlade House in Colonial Michilimackinac, a reconstructed 1770s fort and fur trading village. Each session begins with an introduction to using the Dutch oven, including cleaning, assembly, and heating. A separate menu will be prepared during each session. The menu will include a main course such as a soup or stew and a baked dessert.
