There's only a few things we know about the Alien prequel, and even those we're not exactly 100% on. Sure, Ridley is set to direct, and yes, it looks like it's going to be in 3D (in the dark, how's that going to work?) and maybe it'll come in a set of two prequels. We're also informed that Cowboys And Aliens writer and Lost kingpin Damon Lindelof will be carrying out scribbling duties, and thanks to an extensive MTV interview with Sir Ridley we know it looks to be set 30 years before the Nostromo, and will be based around the 'Space Jockey' figure on LV-426. Which begs the question... what does Ripley think about all this? Obviously she's not going to be an actual part of the film (or films) but we've also been told that it will have a female lead, as you'd expect from an Alien film. Re-wrote the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy as therapy for dealing with the garbage prequels Lucas gave us. I got rid of 98% of everything in The Phantom Menace for my Episode 1. No midicholorians, Jar Jar, R2, C3P0, Boss Nass, Water Balloon fight, Watto, long drawn out pod race, no 12 year old Anakin, no Trade Federation, no Nute Gunray, no boring Senate garbage, no Jedi just sitting around doing nothing - I made them WORK, no gun wielding soldier Padme Amidala, I pretty much erased everything and kept one or two things..... I based my Prequel Episodes off of classic flms. For Episode I, I used Seven Samurai, Aladdin and a hint of Predator in there as well... I re-casted the main leads. For the lead, I have chosen James Franco as our main character, Anakin Skywalker. I felt everyone hated Hayden and Franco could pull off a charming yet deadly Anakin Skywalker. I almost switched Ewan McGregor for James McAvoy just to get as far away from Lucas' prequels as possible, but then realized most people thought McGregor was the best part of the Prequels. James Franco as Anakin Skyalker & I used Lily Collins as The Queen. I am a fan of Natalie Portman, but felt Collins was a more pure and innocent woman that could convey that onto the screen. I also felt because Lily Collins is the daughter of Phil Collins, she is Hollywood royalty already yet still maintains that sweet innocence that I need for that particular part.
