Just wanted to show you what it looks like on the PS3 in some games. They put out a patch that stops the "out of memory 14" error that would kick you out of games like this, but the stuttering and skipping of frames still happens. I've been playing with a party and they've said it happens to them too. I have turned off theater recording since November 8th when I and many other people in my party would get booted with the "out of memory 14" error message. I googled the out of memory 14 and that was the suggestion. Even after turning off recording games we're still skipping frames.

The 1.2 patch helps at first, but after a while, it goes right back to a lag fest in many areas. I can imagine it may possibly prevent frame rate issues in brand new saved games, but after a few weeks of solid play (or at least trying to play), it's really not a great option at this point. I have also tried the save on my brother's PS3, and the problem still persists.

This is a video of the frame rate problem many owners of the PS3 version of Skyrim are complaining about. It clearly shows significant frame rate drops in cities such as Whiterun and Solitude. The problem seems to be correlated with the size of the save file. At first, the performance was perfect but over time, the game began slowing down as the size of the save file increased. Now it has gotten to the point where lag is inevitable. In this video, I'm at level 15 with ~18 hours of play and a save file of just over 7.5 MB in size. It's only getting worse as time goes by. Bethesda has announced that a patch has been submitted for certification but did not specify what would be fixed. It seems from what I've read on the Bethesda forums and Pete Hines' Twitter that this problem is not being treated as a top priority so I'm not sure if it will be patched with the upcoming update. It's a shame because a lot of PS3 players, if not most, are experiencing this issue and from my perspective, this is more serious than what's affecting the Xbox and PC versions.

First off, this game is WAY more PS3 than PS2. Forget what they did to god of war.. this is incredible. The way they updated the game looks amazing. Lag was on and off for a while in certain areas, it got pretty bad at times but usually cleared up. Now when i go to certain places in the game it lags constantly where you can't even fight in a battle its so bad.

Speaking to developers, Sony Europe's R&D Manager Phil Rogers confirmed that features like the gyroscope and front and rear touch pads can be utilized when creating new titles. He was quoted as saying, "You can run software on both devices and use the network to sync the game states." So basically, your PS3 will do all the processing and Vita will handle the display. . He demonstrated cross-platform gameplay with Wipeout 2048 on the Vita with a build of Wipeout HD on the PS3. The games connected via the Playstation Network, and those the PS3 game had better frame rate, the difference seemed to be minimal. Upcoming billiards game Hustle Kings will also have support for cross-play between the Vita and PS3. .
