Another 80's retro flashback, of the original arcade QBert. It took about 5 tries to remember how to play this game again. I used to tag-play with another person racking up a huge score. He'd play for a few hours, then me for a few hours while he did something else...Until we both had had enough and left it with a few hundred lives racked up. They really should have made this game continue to get more difficult. After level 5, it's basically the same thing over and over. See other levels in seperately posted vid.

Here's a video review of the classic arcade game from 1982, Q*Bert. This game featured simulated isometric 3D graphics, speech synthesis, and had a mechanical knocker. Without a doubt, this was Gottlieb's #1 video game hit. Video features my original dedicated cabinet.

For more info: bit.ly Earlier this month, Native Instruments unleashed Qbert's Breakfast of Champions - an incredible performance footage featuring the scratch icon himself Qbert alongside 2X DMC Champ, Dubspot's very own Shiftee, and globe-trotting, clubrocking-turntablist DJ Rafik devouring Native Instruments next generation of Traktor DJ gear. In this new tutorial video, Breakfast of Champions: The Exposé, Dubspot Instructor Shiftee demystifies the spectacular performance, explaining the process and setup and demonstrating the individual part each performer played. Qbert played the drums, Shiftee played vocals and melodies, and Rafik was on bass. The setup: 4 turntables (+ 4 internal decks!) and 2 mixers going through one soundcard - the new, advanced DJ audio interface Traktor Audio 10. They also have Maschine, functioning here as a MIDI controller for two turntables, Traktor Kontrol X1 to execute effects (beat marshier!) I happened to catch Q goofin' around with his new huge Star Wars figure. He just got this rare General Grievous sculpture in the mail today. So he's actin' like a happy fool on the fader! Q pulled out the trusty "Superseal" record and did a 'happy' drum skratch to welcome the General... what a dork, especially right before he gets that text message on his iphone! Now he turns it to silent and leaves it only on for close contacts like family and calls from the Thud Rumble office. The thing is 25" high and is incredible! Only 2500 were made and pretty much sold out everywhere! If you find the one with the cape, it's even rarer! Like the QFO for Star Wars fans!
