- f33l - A Quake3 Defrag movie made by KOS (Jul 2009) featuring my demos. This is the official sequel of the previous Q3 Defrag movie ("w3sp strafes"). Disclaimer: All runs were performed in cpm and vq3 settings with 125 fps unaltered physics (Standard pmove settings). Some runs were done online, some offline. Everything is also reproducable in the OSP mod without any modification. All runs were worldrecords at the release of this movie, and probably still are. A few of the demos were posted on OPC forums. Some DC Q3 action on maps Arena Gate and House of Pain. If DVD recorders were around on the 1st of March 2002 we'd have a frag fest of a blood bath worth watching. ;-) The day in question was when Sega's DreamArena was pulled off air and the true meaning of what Dreamcast Quake3 Online was would be lost forever! :( Today is December 2006 and the memorys will never die! However my skills have lol. This movie was made for fun, just a couple of minutes to remind us and to ponder on what Quake3 DreamArena was like. The amount of money it cost to play, the amount of friends we made and the amount of kills we clocked up to later have full colour replays of our games in our dreams from playing so much. Infact I'm sure people had nightmares of being killed aswell. :) Man Dreamcast Quake3 Online was AWESOME!!! Last of all "AVIT LaRgE!!!" from a ~TBT~ player who used to use Blue Uriel. :-P

Quake 3 w/ Accelerometer mouse on a Nokia N95!
UPDATE: Now also for Quake 1 & 2! All info here: www.symbian-freak.com This is my modification of Olli Hinkka's port of Quake 3 Arena to Symbian OS. It adds support for the phone's in-built accelerometer, which is used as a mouse. This can run on a Nokia N95 8GB, N95-3, N82 and E90 (the last one doesn't have an accelerometer though. If you have a bluetooth mouse and/or keyboard, you can use those to control the game too. This mod should later be integrated into Olli Hinkka's release. This is easier than it looks. Improved menu readability through bigger fonts where necessary 2. Fixed console texts 3. A command for setting the zero-point to the current tilt level: set_zeropoint (This can be binded to a key!) 4. Cvars for tweaking: * accelerometer (default value = 1) --- Turn accelerometer control on/off. 1 = enabled, any other value = disabled. * sens_y (default value = 0.55) --- Y axis sensitivity, compared to X. Float value. * deadzone (default = 2) --- The accelerometer doesn't move the mouse until you tilt it by more than the deadzone value from the zero-point (to prevent shaking etc.). Integer value. * zeropoint_x (default = 4) --- The zero-point, which is the value of the accelerometer's X axis when the mouse should be still. Quake 3 on Motorola Droid X
This is Quake3 being played on the Motorola Droid X. All of the settings are maxed out. The gameplay is very smooth and not choppy at all (the camera is what makes it look choppy). The volume rocker is used to JUMP (+) and RUN FORWARD (-). The touch screen is being used to LOOK and also FIRE with a quick tap on the screen. This game is surprisingly fun, and very playable. By far the best game you can play on the Android OS right now. NOTE:: I also ran this on a HTC Incredible and it was no where near as smooth. I had to decrease numerous settings to get it to a playable state.

Quake 3 DeFRaG - KOS cpm runs 6
Well it?s been a long time... Really hard to introduce the 6th part of a series (I think you do exactly know what is going to happen there : D), so I?am going to tell what you can find in the zip and what is different to the previous parts (for the case you?ve watched any of them). So first of all there?sa menu. Just unzip the whole folder and run the exe. It?sa windowed interface with submenus like demos, readme, links and the main video file. Nothing special but still more comfortable than a DVD menu, since there?s only one video file but text and single files. The main concept/style compared to the other parts is still the same, except some details. For example music. No more "180 bpm i?ll kill your brain action dnb". Music is still electro, but more easy going ;=). There?s camming, but not much. Can?t say it often enough, in my opinion camming is for freestyle movies or really nice effect movies, but it doesn?t show the movement. Don?t forget, you miss CPM turns, while watching a model looking left-right, left-right : D! The demos were done especially for the movie, this means: only good-looking maps and entertaining runs. Tried to keep the movie lengh a bit shorter, just because A) wanted to show only the best runs I had, B) in 2007 no one is able to keep his attention on defrag runs for like 20 minutes any more. Create in that folder a new folder called 'Baseq3' place in that folder (baseq3) the .pak files from the full game, .pak 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. nothing more! then, download pips_nokia_1_3_SS.sis from the site. install it. then download q3a_v101_armv6_fpu_hwa.sisx from the site. install it. thats all :) ok, you can change the controls in the game by yourself. my contols are: (for me perfect, screen rotated) walk (always run on) - volume up left - left rigt - right jump - up walk back - down change weapon - key 2 shoot - middle button if you have the turn speed on the highest and it's still slow (my problem), change it in the q3config, located in baseq3 folder. (seta cl_pitchspeed, higher = more speed) for costum maps go to: lvlworld.com (put the map/level in baseq3 folder). if your phone have the option to rotate the screen automatic, you can use that. i use rotateme software because sometimes my screen will be rotated automatic while playing. if you start up the game in normal screen you will get a mini screen. so rotate it first before you <b>...</b>
