With these wide deep marks, it pays to look after them and not too fish them too hard, They can be susceptible to overfishing. The Shipping Channel off Mackay, is now suffering from several years of great fishing and is well short of the glory years gone past. Mothershipping charters brings out the best of both worlds, All the comforts of a big mothership, and the speed and fishing versatility of a dayboat and dories. These marks are well protected due to the large distances, and only fished once a year by us anyhow. The trophy Red emperor are getting harder to find and makes these trips all the worthwhile. Amazing footage of East Creek near Chalk Drive / Chalk Lane rising and washing away lots of cars during Flash Flood in Toowoomba on Monday 10 January 2011. This is some of the best footage I have seen of the Flood and was taken from the second floor of our office which backs onto Chalk Lane. It shows just how fast the creek turned into a torrent and quickly flooded Chalk Drive and Chalk Lane. Australian authorities have warned people to take shelter with a powerful cyclone expected to hit the northern state of Queensland shortly. Winds have already begun to pick up and people are being told to stay off the streets. Cyclone Yasi, which has strengthened to a category 5, is feared to be the most dangerous storm to ever hit the area.
