Quincy Jones "Walking In Space" (long version)

The title track from the album Walking In Space 1969 This is the FULL (long) version of the song (12 minutes), but (as of this upload) YouTube won't allow videos over 10 minutes, so I had to fade it out. If you like this song, please rate, comment, and/or subscribe, thanks :) Despite loving "Hair" (see my other videos), this is a better version of the song IMO.

Patti Austin Quincy Jones "Betcha' Wouldn't Hurt Me"

This is a 1980 hit from "The Dude" written by Stevie Wonder sung by Grammy Winner of 2008 Best Jazz Vocal Patti Austin. She is doing all the background vocals on three of her four tracks from The Dude which are Betcha' Wouldn't Hurt Me, Somethin' Special, Razzamatazz and Turn On The Action. Somethin' Special uses male backgrounds. She didn't sing an actual duet with James Ingram who was heavily featured and won a Grammy for The Dude until her Every Home Should Have One album released February of 1981 It was "Baby, Come To Me". Patti also did a duet with Luther Vandross on the album that Quincy released before "The Dude" "Sounds... And Stuff Like That!!" and that song was "I'm Gonna Miss You In The Morning." Quincy Jones on Michael Jackson - SXSW Music 2009

The 2009 SXSW Music Keynote speech from Quincy Jones contained many unforgettable moments. Among them was a series of stories about his work and friendship with Michael Jackson. After meeting on the set of "The Wiz," Jackson convinced Jones to produce his next record, and went against label advice to pursue this collaboration. What ensued was history, and 'Q' shares his unique perspective on the blockbuster of 'Thriller' and the breaking of racial barriers at MTV. As we remember Michael Jackson's music and note his deep and wide cultural impact, we thank Quincy Jones for sharing his remarkable life stories at SXSW '09. Jazz Icons: Quincy Jones- Live In '60

The Jazz Icons: Quincy Jones DVD, released Sept. 26, 2006, spotlights a young "Q" conducting his "dream band"—an 18-piece orchestra of world-renowned players such as Clark Terry, Phil Woods, Sahib Shihab, Budd Johnson and Benny Bailey. This 80-minute program, featuring 17 songs, is one of the finest examples of big band jazz ever to be captured on film. Shot in Switzerland and Belgium in 1960, these two concerts are the only known visual documents of this legendary tour—an important lost chapter in an illustrious career which has spanned six decades. This track kicks some serious ass. I tweaked the mix a bit. Solos by the late Jerome Richardson on flute, Jerry Hey on Trumpet and the incomparable Pete Christlieb on tenor sax....plus Louis Johnson on bass ...... the only player I've ever heard playing electric bass in a big band and making it happen. At the center, one of the truly greats in music, Quincy Jones.
