Acne.org the regimen - day 7
So my journey continues! After one week of using Daniel kern's acne regimen, I do notice a slight difference. Feeling good about the product so far. Sorry for the iffy video, still tryin to get used to taping myself ;) I use two pumps of cleanser to remove makeup (I use neutrgena makeup wipes sometimes as well and always the eye makeup remover) then another two to cleanse. I am starting to use 4-5 peas sized dots of the BP. One and a half to two pumps of moisturizer with 1-2 drops of jojoba oil.

PLEASE READ ME! Hi everyone! I wanted to fill you in on the different skin care products i've been trying and experimenting with. I don't want to fully focus on the routine since everyone has unique skin and there are so many ways to treat it. Please don't take this video as encouragement to follow the same routine and use the same products I do. Since I am so experimental, I already plan on trying a different and perhaps much more natural routine very soon. You will notice that I went a little product crazy in the past several months but that is just so I can test different things out. Skin type: Combination/Oily but mostly Oily now with a lot of large and congested pores. I used to hate having oily skin but now I embrace it. I treat my skin by ridding it of dead skin cell build up and hydrating internally and topically. Don't use harsh products or over-dry your skin even if it's oily. Weekly Wash 1x a week (moisturizing shampoo) Deep condition 2x a week ( 1 day moisturizing 1 day light protein) Co-wash 2x a week (with one co-wash I deep condition before) Oil scalp/message with castor oil or some oil blend (castor, grapeseed, olive) Nightly Moisturize and seal Cover hair with a silk/satin scarf Monthly Protein treatment 1x a month Dust my ends (to maintain my ends to prevent major trims) Search and destroy method (search for split ends) Heat pass (blow dry) Relax 10-12weeks Pre-Poo only when needed. Trim only when needed ALL THE TIME MUST DO'S FOR "ME" -STAY AWAY FROM HEAT ON A REGULAR BASIS -AIR DRYING IS MY BEST FRIEND -LOW MANIPULATION STYLES -PROTECTIVE STYLES
My new hair regimen
Start with any shampoo. Follow with any type of liquid oil, whether its Moroccan Argan Oil, Coconut, Olive, etc mixed with your favorite conditioner. I used the argan oil mixed with my Joico K-Pak reconstructor. Allow it to sit for as long you'd like, but I would personally recommend 20-30 mins for extremely dry hair like mine. This is the time I trimmed my hair. Rinse and follow with the Dr. Miracles or whatever deep conditioner you use. With a shower cap or conditioning cap or plastic bag, sit under a hair dryer for another 15-20 mins. Rinse out without shampoo. You can add any more moisturizer to towel dried damp hair so that any excess product can evaporate out as your hair dries. Style as you usually do, and holler at me with the results. The Dr. Miracles will tingle, like tea tree oil does. I wasn't used to it, but it wasn't uncomfortable at all.

In this video I describe the regimen I have used to grow my hair for about the past 2 years (It has taken me about 5 years to reach my current length). I am experimenting with my video editor so I tried mixing 2 different recordings that I made about my hair. In this video I emphasize the importance of finding what works for your hair. The actual regimen starts at 2:22, but I don't think you'll want to miss the beginning either... I've put together a picture timeline of all my hair-related ups and downs, and it was kind of cool to see the different lengths my hair has been. Basic info that I didn't include in the video: *I wash my hair 2-3 times a week, and use the method detailed in my Blowout Series *I relax my hair 1-2 times a month, depending on factors like: *Whether or not I'm getting my hair cut * If I have an event to go to * If it starts taking longer than 1.5 hours to blow-dry and style my hair * I get my hair cut roughly every other month As always, I've included a list of every item mentioned int he video, but I'm not including links this time... This is literally the fourth time I'm typing this due to various technical difficulties, and frankly, I'm sick of tracking down the links lol... My Hair Regimen/ Before and After Hair Growth Pics... Yay!!!
This is my hair regimen video... yay! I just wanted to share the process that had made my hair grow in a year. But... I missed some detail in the video so here's some extra info! I'm relaxed with 4a and b hair type (I think)... I hate weighed down hair... I hate greasy hair (it make my face break out), I like for people to touch it and their fingers don't come out shiny... lol. My hair does not like tons of products... I have to truly keep it simple...literally! When I wash- I use about 8-10 pumps of Hair One for my whole head. I leave it in for 5 min. When I co-wash with Vo5... I only focus on my scalp. After I wash- I have to be 40-50% air dried before I can comb my hair... it hates being combed wet. I use a shower comb to do that. I sleep on a satin pillow case instead of using a bonnet or wrapping... I use to wrap all the time... but I think my hair likes to breathe! I always keep my ends moisturized... so I put some Herbal Essence on my ends before I put my hair in a bun... I like to tuck my ends in. I flat iron my hair 2-3x a month...only for special occasions.
