I heard someone say once that "spaced repetition" is a great way of learning In other words you teach on a subject ,leave it a while then teach on it again !! Lets become proficient throwers, then we may become proficient artists if we hang on in there . Too many people wanting to become "artists" in clay without ever doing their "time" in learning the basic skills. Self expression, without the skill to execute, kind of ends up in a mess.... & that is why I say "KEEP PRACTICING " .....the basic skills, then you will have the competence to execute your inspirations. End of 2010, inspired by HobbyPotter, strived to make 20 vases in 30 days (each with 4 pounds of stoneware) to stretch my skill level and create new shapes. Well, here it is almost October and they are finally all glazed. In fairness to myself... I have been cranking out repeat ware, spent 2 months in Connecticut (yuck) and right in the middle of my 30 days, my husband had an emergency heart situation (4 stents)... He is fine now... will probably outlive me. Enjoy! Comments welcome. Thanks for watching! Janicethepotter@gmail.com

Re-glazed some pieces that I wasn't happy with... put some clear on the bottom of the Batter Bowls so the Iron Red/Med Mist can drip down nicely. Also, put Croc Crawl on the turtle mugs with a bit of Blue Shino on the rim... have no idea what will happen. Glazed some more repeat-ware and did a couple of experiments.

Mostly repeat ware... trying to keep up with demand at Nokomis Groves. Comments welcome. Thanks for watching! Janicethepotter@gmail.com
