How to Replace Honda Captive Rotors

This was a request from a while ago and I'm happy to get to it now. I did a bunch of video on this car (1990 Honda Accord LX) and have lots more to show you in future episodes. Honda captive rotors are a pain to say the least. For the most part you can take them somewhere that is equipped with an on-the-car brake lathe to have them machined when they get warped but in this cast they were too thin and damaged for machining and needed to be replaced. I have to admit that this job does not always go this easy, it usually requires a lot more effort, some pain, and perhaps a little blood to accomplish but I guess it was trying to behave for the camera on this day. Astute views may notice that I switched sides for the video, that's because I ended up replacing the wheel bearing on the side that I started with and did the disassembly a bit differently as a result, good eye if you spotted that. I'll be posting more videos from this car in future weeks so keep an eye out if you have one of these that needs some work. 1 blade Helicopter. Both rotors. These are Blade 400 experiments.

*** Please read before Commenting*** I have only been experimenting with this stuff for 2 weeks just on a whim. Maybe some of you naysayer armchair pilots who tell me it wont work when it does, could learn to fly a helicopter well enough to try this and find out for yourself. After all these 1 bladed videos I've made, some folks still don't understand the theory and tell me it cant work or why it wont, even when it does! I found that it takes less power to turn one blade than 2, And if you know about Blade 400s, you can hear that it isn't spinning any faster to create lift, it is spinning slower. And since there is no turbulence from the missing blade for the good blade to run into, it runs smoother. *So you asked for it, a Single Tail Rotor too! And for those who sat that say it can't work, I think by now you should see I have proven this concept does work, even if it is only a model. Remember all real planes started with models first. This is a model, and since the concept may not be new, today's technologies could prove this cost effective and a conservative alternative. That said, plus proving the Single Blade Rotor head concept to myself in my past single blade rotor videos, led me to this next step, a Cyclic Collective Pitch Helicopter. I used my Blade 400 for this experiment. Since having success with my truly one bladed helicopter, the Hyperfly with no tail rotor blades, this was just as natural and easy to do. Well as you saw, it flew great in the gym. So to see ...

DIY: Drilled/Slotted Rotor Install

Check out www.88rotors.com! Great customer service, quick shipping, AWESOME warranty, and all for a sweet price. What are you waiting for? In this 2 part series, I show you how to install new brake rotors on your car. The task might seem complicated when you think about it, but it is actually very simple. I did this install on my 1993 Nissan 240sx, however, this method can be applied to a plethora of cars that are equipped with disc-brakes. Some cars have a more complex braking system where a drum is used for e-brake and a disc is used for pedal brake in the rear. A good example of this is the Nissan 300zx (Z32). If this is the case for your vehicle, your installation will be different. *Try this only if you feel confident! I'm not rich enough to be responsible for any damage you cause to your car.*

Single Rotor Bladed E-Sky 900 Heli + Mild 3D STUNTS of Blade 400 & Hyperfly

*** Please read before Commenting*** Vaguely tried a long time ago before today's vast technology, I have proven the Single Blade Rotor head concept to myself using today's modern machines. Why not before? Well, people said the concept is so ridiculous they would never consider doing it on big helis or models, because it simply couldn't work and would be a waste of time. Well, my past single blade rotor video experiments led me to this next step, a bigger, heavier helicopter. I used my E-Sky 900 for this next experiment and is not a waste of time to me. It is science, physics, and fun. Theory: With one blade, there is not as much blade turbulence, thus it's quite sufficient, uses less power, has longer run times, and is quieter in cruise. My physics friends tell me that as long as the counter weight is on, there would be no extra stress on the bearings. Bearings get changed at regular maintenance intervals on helis, so this is no problem. If my bearings start wobbling, I will tell you and change them. With today's materials and technology, almost anything is possible. CCPM helis are difficult for most folks to learn to be good on in the first place, let alone for novices to be able to experiment like this. So for those "Armchair Pilots" with negative opinions, I suggest you make your own heli, learn to fly it good enough to experiment, then put one blade on it to prove it for yourself before making opinions that it won't work, is unsafe or ridiculous.,etc, etc. Bumble ...

Twin Rotor Bedini DC Motor

This motor is a hybrid between a Bedini motor and a DC motor. It utilises both poles off a coil. The Rotors are mounted on DC motors which are wired in series with the power coil. There is a capasitor in parallel with each motor. The motor Operates like this. When i spin the rotor the bedini trigger circuit switches the transistor on which sends power through the dc motors and then the power coil. This does 3 things. 1.The power coil pushes the magnets on the rotors 2.The dc motors(rotors) spin. 3.The capasitors in parallel with the dc motors charge up. When the transistor switches off,the capasitor discharges through the dc motors so turning the rotors when a normal bedini would be free wheeling. I have done some load tests with this motor and found current draw decreases under load.

Handbuilt 4-Rotor Engine

This was a project that took about five years of weekends to put together. There was a lot of trial and error as jury-rigged parts were improvised and revised, leaks were identified and plugged, and byzantine electrical diagrams were decoded. It still does not run smoothly, as there likely is a problem with the intake system that has prevented smooth timing at idle. But she runs!

Its a called the space explorer tt891 I picked it up from slotcarsandmore.com but they don't seam to sell it anymore, if I find another retailer I will post a link Price $23.99 Flight time 6-7 minutes of solid flight Charge time- charges from the transmitter in 24 minutes no spare parts included _How hard is it to fly?_ On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the hardest, I would say 3.5. you need some exp. _How does it work_ Its an infrared aircraft with fully functional 3 channel control. The back 2 rotors of the aircraft spin in opposite directions counteracting each others torque. The back 2 rotors are also each at a slight angle to counteract the torque of the front rotor; on the alien jump jet they called this thrust vectoring. The front rotor has a small servo connected to it that tilts the whole rotor left and right, this is what controls yaw (spin). The front rotor also speeds up and slows down independently, this is what controls forward and reverse motion. _First flight_ Dont just take off from your coffee table yet because it can fly fast and if it isn't trimmed it'll be almost impossible to control and stop it from hitting something. It does not like to fly backwards so you need to trim it to fly slightly forward when you start out. You can trim it to move forward by spinning the dial in the center of the transmitter counter clockwise. Next you have to trim its spin; there is a dial on the upper left hand of the transmitter that controls the spin trim. When you ...

World's First and Smallest Single Rotor NOTAR (No Tail Rotor) Helicopter. The Micro Uni-Blade.

~Read Please~ I've experimented with Single Bladed Models for over 20 Years! If you understand HOW and WHY helicopters work, this video will prove that it isn't all that hard to learn. My 2nd version Uni-Blade, No Tail Rotor, (NOTAR) Helicopter is faster, lighter and smaller. It is the first of it's kind and in keeping with challenging my mind, I press on. I used 3 helis, and 1 airplane to make this machine. I can almost fly this better with 1 blade and no tail rotor than most guys with full blown micro helicopters and all 4 channels! If your bored with everyday flying like I am, then step out of the box and try the things most people would not. I have proven this 1 bladed stuff with all kinds of helis and airplanes and have videos to prove it too. NOTE. There were no Crashes! Adrian in Switzerland took my idea and flies amazing 1 bladed 3D 550's. And to those who DO understand the invention process, the time it takes to balance the machines, and anticipation of first flights, and then flight, I appreciate your attention and am sure you can relate. How to Replace Front Brake Pads and Rotors

Front brake pads provide up to 70% of vehicle stopping power. In general, front brake pads wear out twice as fast as rear brake pads, 2 to 1. Disc brakes have a definite braking power advantage over drum style brakes and performance is not compromised as much when wet. Some disc brakes utilize cooling fins in-between the braking surfaces to maximize cooling efficiency. Replacing brake discs can vary depending on the make and model of car or truck, two wheel or four wheel drive. Always replace brake rotors with top quality or OEM (original equipment manufacturer) brake rotors, some less expensive brake rotors can squeak and not dissipate heat as well because of their inferior metal quality.

Rotor Series: Adjusting my Hunter Sprinkler System Rotors

Adjusting the arc and radius of a rotor is an easy task. Most residential rotors are adjusted the same way. There are two adjustments that can be made on rotors, arc and radius. Arc: The degrees of coverage of a sprinkler from one side of pattern to the other. A 90-degree arc would be a quarter-circle sprinkler. In other words, the arc is how far to the left and to the right the sprinkler will be adjusted to rotate. Radius: The distance of throw from the sprinkler head to the furthest point of water application. For more information, please visit our web site www.innovativeirrigationspecialists.com.

Night Osprey V-22 Tilt Rotor fitted with Tiny Brite Lights and flight by ~NightFlyyer~

*Read Links and INFO here. Art-Tech, a well renowned R/C Manufacturer, has made an updated, Tilt Rotor Osprey. (20 degree tilt each way) It is a very ingenious design and not as difficult to fly as one that would transform into full on forward flight. There are no elevators, rudders, or ailerons to steer it in forward flight, so it is also much cheaper. It is a blast to fly and I especially like to look at it in the air. And for this retired Marine I like watching my planes fly. For those who want full transition flight, it will cost you about $1700 from Rotormax.
