Rock River Arms AR15 Review by Nutnfancy
RRA produces some of the best high value AR-15 variants in the world. They are extraordinarily accurate, reliable, and long lasting. In this in-depth review vid, I address my thoughts on "mil-spec" and Rock River's departure from it. The QA portion of the spec is desirable but adds substantial cost and it generally overkill for the average AR user. It also limits features to those determined by US Government committees...a bad thing. The civilian market has long been where the best guns are made. Some forum elitists may balk at the materials of the Rock Rivers and features but few have extensive experience with the type and therefore their criticisms ring carry no weight with me. Granted, on paper, the 4140 steel 1/9 twist Wylde chambered barrels, commercial buffer tubes, non-HP/MPI bolt carrier, lack of barrel chroming, and other mil-spec departures may seem disappointing. But that's on paper. Shot for over SEVEN years before this review, RRA AR-15s (LAR-15s) have been stellar performers under hard TNP testing. The Elite Operator2 and Entry Tactical, wearing a few modifications of my own (discussed), achieved 1 MOA groups with STANDARD BALL ammo. With premium 77 gr Fiocchi Match Kings, the groups shrunk to 1/2 inch. Keep in mind these are tactical carbine variations of the LAR-15, not target rifles with overly thick barrels. Most high end AR-15s, piston or DI, have failed to achieve this accuracy. And this accuracy testing came only after many 1000s of rounds shot in TNP <b>...</b>

Rock River Arms PDS Carbine review by Nutnfancy
This is easily one of the best piston AR-15s that I've shot to date. But looking at the somewhat goofy forend on the Rock River Arms PDS Carbine #LR1222, I had my doubts. It seems most AR manufacturers have answered the market demand for piston ARs for their perceived advantages. Some are better than others. So it was with a certain level of surprise that my crew members and myself saw the PDS perform so well in my aggressive testing process. The ergonomics on this model are excellent although the ribbed polymer forend on this model is a bit wide (but flat and stable for barricade shooting too!). 7.2 lbs (naked) For a mid-profile barreled AR is a great accomplishment and it flat out excited me. The PDS is fast into action, easy to carry, and nimble in transition. I have found in my reviews that most piston ARs lose out in the "weighting game" to their DI counterparts. Not so in this model of the gun. The PDS lso available in an aluminum Tri-Rail version (#LR1297, numbers subject to change) but I found those current versions to be heavier with added disadvantage of skin removal as you actuate the ambi, folding charging handles (mounting polymer rail covers might help). The PDS trigger, while pulling slightly higher than the RRA DI guns, still provides excellent feel and crispness. I would not change it (but standard AR triggers will fit). The proprietary RRA "Piston Driven System" or PDS provides a soft recoil impulse, clean bolt operation, easy maintenance (shown), and <b>...</b>

NUTNFANCY SHOT 2012: Rock River Arms!
How about an AR-15 that takes AK mags? You got it. We take a look at the new RRA LAR-47 that does just that. If it's like the other Rock River Arms AR-15 it will be reliable, accurate, and durable. We have found this to be the case with all things RRA from extensive shooting in The Nutnfancy Project for over four years. Keystone runners in TNP have been the Entry Tactical and Elite Operator2 LAR-15 models. On some days, they will achieve near MOA accuracy even with military ball ammunition and we've seen no parts failures on them. Up the hitting power of your RRA by going to any number of calibers including 6.8 SPC, .243 Rem, .458 SOCOM, or 7.62x51mm. The receiver and internals remain the same as you make decisions on barrel length, muzzle finishing, handguards, and stocks. The triggers pull fast and clean (shown in intro in tactical carbine course) and keep up with just about all others in my mileage. They are available separately along with a full line of proprietary RRA gun accessories like their excellent $35 muzzle brake. And while some mfrs get carried away in their pricing levels, RRA in 2012 remains well-grounded. And they they improve their lineup when the customers call for it (just like the newer generations of handguards, shown). They are just great guns that work and do it for less. Rock River Arms Predator Pursuit upper review
hubpages.com RemMan700.flixya.com This is a review of the Rock River Arms Predator Pursuit upper. The upper is chambered in .223 Wylde and has a 20" air gauged stainless steel 1 twist Wilson barrel. The hand guard is a free floating aluminum handguard. I used a RRA 1" high riser scope base with a Leupold VX-II 3-9x40 scope. This upper is on a lower that I built up. The lower receiver is a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 lower that has a Rock River National Match two stage trigger kit in it. The stock is a DPMS six position collapsible stock. Rock River rates the Predator Pursuit rifle to shoot .75 MOA at 100 yrds with match factory ammo. I definitely feel that this upper is worth the money!

Martina has an exquisite, very short typey head that is accented by a wonderful hooky neck, she is smooth in the body and has a laid back shoulder. Its a joy to watch her in the pasture with her tail up, prancing, nick arched and showing off. Martina has a wonderful personality with just enough attitude that makes her a pleasure to be around. We took great care when choosing a stallion for Crystals first foal. Falcon is a proven sire of halter champions and with the bloodlines of Bey Shah on both the sire and dam's side we felt that this would be a wonderful cross. Seeing Martina makes us very proud since we strive to breed foals that will compliment the beautiful Arabian breed. Martina is definitely a filly that is going to shine in the show ring. Martina is currently in training with Greg Knowles at Arabian Expressions in Cave Creek, AZ.
