Donald Rumsfeld confronted on Aspartame and Iraq War

Saad Ali- We Are Change Chicago Anthony- We Are Change Ohio CHICAGO, IL- Former Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld strolled into Chicago on May 17, 2011, for a speech at the globalist think tank, Chicago Council on Global Affairs. The audience was mainly comprised of your average "Coke drinking, McDonald's eating" yuppie, ready to bow down to Mr. Rumsfeld. They clapped and cheered as he approached the podium and delivered his globalist speech. The praising of such a criminal was mind blowing, and something had to be done. Mr. Rumsfeld's "accomplishments" have caused humanitarian suffering worldwide. To start off, Rumsfeld is responsible for contributing to the approval of the artificial sweetener Aspartame. The known carcinogen has caused millions of people suffering around the world. Headaches, dizziness, neurological degeneration, macular degeneration, optic neuritis, insomnia, seizures, irregular heart rhythm, multiple sclerosis, lupus, Alzheimer's disease, autism, Tourettes syndrome, birth defects, Lou Gehrig's disease, Parkinson's disease, leukemia, low blood platelet, and diabetes are a few of the illnesses and disease caused by this poisonous drug. Think about how much better our health could be had Mr. Rumsfeld not pushed Aspartame into the market for human consumption. (Visit Natural News for more information) Furthermore, Rumsfeld is highly responsible for the destruction of Iraq, the death of one million Iraqi's, and thousands of US soldiers. Torture trial for Rumsfeld? 'Abused' US contractors file suit

Two American contractors can go ahead with a civil lawsuit over allegations they were wrongfully held and tortured in Iraq by the US forces. Donald Rumsfeld, the country's former Secretary of Defence, could be held personally liable. The two men worked for a private security company in Iraq in 2006 when they highlighted concerns their firm was engaged in corruption. They were detained for nine months at a US military facility near Baghdad airport and released without explanation or charge. Brian Becker from the anti-war coalition says this case could open a door to punishment for officials from the Bush administration, accused of torture. Zakaria destroys Rumsfeld´s Iraq war talking points The Raw Story

Raw Story: Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld isn't letting go of his talking points that support the US invasion of Iraq following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Exactly 10 years after those attacks, Rumsfeld suggested to CNN's Fareed Zakaria Sunday that Iraq had been "hospitable" to al Qaeda before the US invaded the country. "There's no question that al Qaeda and Zarqawi and people were in Iraq," Rumsfeld argued. "They aggregated there." "If we hadn't invaded, they wouldn't have been there," Zakaria pointed out. "We don't know that," Rumsfeld insisted. "You don't know that. I don't know that." "But they went in to fight us. So since we weren't there, why would they have gone into Iraq?" Zakaria countered. "Why have they gone into Yemen and Somalia?" Rumsfeld asked. "Why do al Qaeda go anywhere? They go where it's hospitable." "Right, and Iraq hadn't been hospitable," Zakaria said. A Department of Defense Inspector General report declassified in 2007 debunked claims that Pentagon official Douglas Feith had made to bolster the Bush administration case for war, that there was a connection between Iraq and al Qaeda. "The Feith office alternative intelligence assessments concluded that Iraq and al Qaeda were cooperating and had a 'mature, symbiotic' relationship, a view that was not supported by the available intelligence, and was contrary to the consensus view of the Intelligence Community," Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin said in a ...

'Rumsfeld & Co. should be jailed - torture trial a good start'

A US court has ruled that two American contractors, who worked for a private security firm in Iraq, can sue Donald Rumsfeld over their alleged illegal imprisonment and torture. If proven guilty, the former Pentagon chief would be held personally accountable. While in Iraq, the two men made claims that their firm was engaged in corruption. It's believed that they were then detained for nine months at a military facility, before being released without explanation or charge. A lawsuit against Rumsfeld had been rejected by prosecutors until now. Lawyer and human rights activist Jennifer Harbury says other officials from the Bush administration should also be held accountable. RT on Twitter: twitter.com RT on Facebook: www.facebook.com

Army Ranger Widow Confronts Rumsfeld Over Lies That Convinced Her Husband to Join Military

DemocracyNow.org - Democracy Now! speaks with the widow of a US Army Ranger who confronted former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld about her husband's suicide on Saturday. Ashley Joppa-Hagemann introduced herself to Rumsfeld during a book-signing by handing him a copy of her husband's funeral program at a base south of Tacoma, Washington. She says Rumsfeld inspired her husband to join the Army after 9/11, but he later became disillusioned with the reasons for the war. Her husband, 25-year-old Staff Sergeant Jared Hagemann, killed himself ahead of what his wife says was his eighth deployment to Iraq and Afghanistan. His body was found on June 28, 2011, at the Joint Base Lewis McChord in Washington State. More than 18000 soldiers returned to the Joint Base Lewis McChord from combat tours last year. And while the Army says it is trying to shore up mental health services there, Joppa-Hagemann questions its success. "I want to confront the man whose 'lies' led my husband to join the military and some other soldiers -- so many other soldiers," says Joppa-Hagemann. "That is what I wanted to do and what I did." Navy Vet: Rumsfeld Authorized My Torture For Whistleblowing To FBI

Real News @ RevolutionNews.US — Judge Gives Go-Ahead for Another Torture Lawsuit against Donald Rumsfeld... Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld will have to defend himself in court following a federal judge's decision to green-light a lawsuit from an Army veteran who claims he was imprisoned and tortured by the US military in Iraq. Donald Vance, a US navy veteran, says he worked for an American contracting company as a translator for the US Marines in the dangerous Anbar province. He was scheduled to return home on leave, but instead was arrested by the military and imprisoned for nine months at Camp Cropper, where the US confined "high-value" detainees. According to his lawsuit, he was repeatedly abused before being released without explanation in August 2006. He filed his lawsuit in 2008 and named Rumsfeld as a defendant, arguing that the defense secretary personally approved torturous interrogation techniques on a case-by-case basis. The government has said the veteran was suspected of helping give classified information to insurgents and allowing anti-coalition forces to enter Iraq. But he was never charged with a crime. Rumsfeld happy to blame everyone else

"Known and Unknown" -- the new book by former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld is being called tedious and self-serving, and an attempt to blame others for his failures. In about 800 pages, instead of taking responsibility or addressing allegations Rumsfeld opted to take an unapologetic tone, blaming everyone else while praising his own actions. Michael M. O'Brien, the author of "America's Failure in Iraq" explained Rumsfeld's book is more about self vindication than coming clean.
