In case 1, William Ruto, and broadcast journalist Joshua Arap Sang each face charges of murder, deportation or forcible transfer of the people, causing serious injury and persecution based on political affiliation. In case 2, Deputy Prime Minister, Uhuru Kenyatta and Head of Civil Service Francis Muthaura, each faces charges of crimes against humanity, specifically murder, deportation, rape and persecution.
