XDA thread, instructions, binary, and source links: forum.xda-developers.com Just use odin3 to flash the kernel to the phone. At 1.5GHz, I've seen insane scores of up to 59 MFLOPS on Linpack and over 4100 in Quadrant! The Exynos processor really has a lot of potential - this is faster than almost everything else out there on the market today. Follow me (Michael Huang) on Twitter: twitter.com

Samsung Galaxy S 2 Unboxing

The Samsung Galaxy S 2 is Samsung's flagship, top-of-the-line phone for 2011. The Galaxy S 2 features a huge 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus display, a dual core 1.2GHz Exynos processor with a full 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, plus 1080p video recording with the 8MP camera. It has a large 1650mAh battery, so battery life should be fantastic. It's running the latest version of Android, 2.3 Gingerbread. First impressions? The Galaxy S 2 device is extremely thin...in fact, it's the thinnest smartphone we've ever tested at just 8.5mm. It's also quite light, but it still feels high quality. We'll have full coverage of benchmarks, battery life, web browsing performance and more coming up soon. So far, web browsing feels faster than on any other device. Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket (AT&T) video tour

MobileBurn.com - The Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket is the second Galaxy S II smartphone to be carried by AT&T, though this time it is packing 4G LTE powers. The Skyrocket is one of the two new LTE smartphones for AT&T, the other being the HTC Vivid. The Skyrocket is very similar to other Galaxy S II versions, especially the model carried by T-Mobile. It features a 4.52-inch, WVGA Super AMOLED Plus display and is powered by a dual-core, 1.5GHz Qualcomm processor. Performance was about the same with the new processor when compared with the 1.2GHz Samsung Exynos chip that powers AT&T's other Galaxy S II. The Skyrocket is just as plasticky-feeling as other models, and it has the same 8 megapixel camera with flash, autofocus, and 1080p video as all other Galaxy S II smartphones. You can purchase the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket from AT&T now for $149.99 and a new two-year contract. More info: www.mobileburn.com

Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket Review

Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket Review! Does this rocket take off? Who would have thought that, just a month after the Samsung Galaxy S II hit AT&T, we'd see its younger brother come to the very same carrier? Seemingly out of nowhere, the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket came strolling into town, touting a1.5GHz dual-core processor, larger display and true 4G LTE. We're not ashamed to admit that, after having spent extensive hands-on time with AT&T's version of the Galaxy S II early last month, it easily ranks as one of our favorite Android smartphones on the market. The device has a beautiful screen, thin frame and offers a top notch Android experience. So does the Galaxy S II Skyrocket bring enough to the table to warrant a place in Samsung's growing Galaxy S family? Of course, we cover all the relevant bullet points for those considering the Skyrocket. One big thing to keep in mind is that the device will be Ice Cream Sandwich ready, although no release timeframe has been nailed down as of yet. The device is available now on AT&T for $249.99 with two-year contract. Samsung Galaxy S II (AT&T) Review!

Samsung Galaxy S II (AT&T) Review! At one time, Android offerings on AT&T were pretty woeful. That was then, though — the carrier has been fleshing out its offerings, with this top-notch Samsung contender just joining the ranks. Of course AT&T isn't the only US cellular provider offering the Galaxy S II. Both T-Mobile and Sprint both have their own versions. And the European market had it even before that, so this is just Blue's turn at the plate. So how does this version of the GSII stack up? Do the thin form factor, stunning 4.3-inch super Amoled+ display and super-fast dual-core 1.2 GHz processor live up to the hype? I go in-depth with the Gingerbread-packing device — including call quality, browsing experience, Quadrant scores, form factor overview and more. So take a look at the full review, then weigh in with your own opinion down below. Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch (Sprint) video tour - part 1 of 2

MobileBurn.com - The Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch is the first version of the Galaxy S II smartphone to be available from a major US carrier. It features a couple of upgrades over the original Galaxy S II that we reviewed earlier this year. Namely, the screen is now 4.52 inches across, though it is still a WVGA, Super AMOLED Plus unit (which is no bad thing). The Epic 4G Touch sports a 1.2GHz, dual-core Samsung Exynos processor and 1GB of RAM. It runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread and has the latest version of Samsung's TouchWiz interface. On the back is an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, and the front is home to a 2 megapixel camera for video chats. The rear camera can record video at 1080p HD (1920 x 1080 pixel) resolution. Sprint will be offering the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch on September 16 for $199.99 with a new two-year agreement. Galaxy S II vs. iPhone 4

Full Review with More Info Here: bit.ly In this video we put the Samsung Galaxy S 2 up against the iPhone 4! In terms of price, the iPhone 4 is currently a much better value: it's priced at $200 and $300 for 16GB and 32GB versions, respectively. The Galaxy S 2 costs over $700 unlocked right now, but is likely to come down in price once it's available on a carrier. In terms of build quality, the iPhone 4 is superior because it makes use of metal and glass, while the Galaxy S 2 is plastic and glass. Both have a high quality feel in-hand. The screen of the Galaxy S 2 provides better contrast, but not as good of a viewing angle as the iPhone 4. We also found colors to be a bit more natural on the iPhone 4. In terms of web browsing speed, it's no contest: the dual 1.2GHz Exynos CPU and the 1GB of RAM makes the Galaxy S 2 very quick when browsing the web. Samsung Galaxy S II (AT&T) hardware and software video tour - part 1 of 2

MobileBurn.com - AT&T is the second major carrier in the US to release a version of the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone, following Sprint and its Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch. AT&T's version is much more faithful to the original, global edition than Sprint's is, as it features the same 4.3-inch, WVGA (480 x 800 pixel) resolution Super AMOLED display and square corners as the global model. It is powered by the same 1.2GHz dual-core Samsung Exynos processor as the others, and features 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The AT&T Galaxy S II has the same 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, as well as the same 2 megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera will record 1080p HD video. Like the others, AT&T's model runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread and Samsung's TouchWiz 4 interface, though there are some minor differences between it and the version of TouchWiz on the Sprint model. HTC Vivid vs Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket

PhoneArena presents a brief comparison of the HTC Vivid and Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket. Now that AT&T's 4G LTE network is finally sprouting up in small pockets around the country, it's naturally fitting for them to finally bring forth smartphones packing support for its next-generation data network. Rather than laying out the red carpet for their arrival, both the HTC Vivid and Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket came out of nowhere in a relatively low key manner to offer AT&T customers the ability to surf the waves of 4G LTE goodness -- and the timing couldn't have been sooner! Check out our full written review at: www.mobiletechreview.com This is an LTE 4G GSII, and that means true 4G speeds, if you're in one of AT&T's very few coverage areas. If not, then HSPA+ is a pretty good consolation. The phone has a 4.5" Super AMOLED Plus display, a fast 1.5GHz dual core CPU, plenty of internal storage and a very good 8MP camera. It runs Android OS 2.3.5 Gingerbread with Samsung's TouchWiz software. For an LTE smartphone, battery life is pretty good. It's absolutely worth a look if you're in an AT&T LTE coverage area or will be soon.

AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Review Part 1

Will the Galaxy S II get Ice Cream Sandwich? pdog.ws After months of waiting, Samsung's Galaxy S II series is finally available in the United States. Samsung Galaxy S 2 Early Review

Samsung Galaxy S 2 Early Review by Aaron Aaron does an early video review of the Samsung Galaxy S 2, the newest member of the Galaxy series of Android smartphones. Announced at the "Samsung Unpacked" event, the phone is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and offers a 4.27-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling, and is in a package that's just over 4 ounces. Sadly, there's no pricing or other launch information available at this time, other than Samsung's comment that the device will not be available in the United States at launch. Before you get upset, keep in mind that this is Samsung's typical launch strategy - launch in Europe, Asia, and other markets, followed by a North American launch months later. Say what you will about Samsung and the Android 2.2 snafu, but the device is hot. Like the upcoming Samsung 4G LTE phone on Verizon, the Galaxy S 2's screen is beautiful, and it's incredibly peppy. Check out the video, and keep it locked on PhoneDog for continuing coverage from Mobile World Congress in Barcelona!

Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch (Sprint) video tour - part 2 of 2
