"Ave Maria" by Schubert is one of the "old warhorses" of the repertoire. Therefore, one has to do something DIFFERENT with it. This performance is backed by icons of the Mother of God of a specific pattern, "of Vladimir". This is a variant of the "umileniye" ("of Tenderness") type, it is very popular in Russia. The first image is the classic prototype of them all, the one painted by St Andrei Rublyov the Iconographer.

"LaLCS" stands for "Live and Live Combined Stereo", which means that the left and the right sides of the video come from two different LIVE performances. This format is great to discover interesting alterations! Regarding the current video, on the right you can see and hear Sarah Brightman singing the classic "Ave Maria" from 2009 (Wien), while on the left her sister Amelia Brightmen (Violet) and the Gregorian (Monks) from 2008 (live in Berlin concert). There are many differencies, I even had to transpose Amelia's singing (with "1b"), but anyway, the result is at least interesting, and during the first part even enjoyable.
