My original Scarified video from waaaay back in 2006 is by far my most viewed video at almost 30.000 views. Although I think that video was good for an 18 year old desperate to get some exposure on youtube, it certainly doesn't represent me now. So I've redone Scarified with a few silly extras including whacky digital harmonies and a much weirder improvised solo, I also took the time to import it into pro tools and make sure the backing sounded as good as it could, with close and room mics tracking the sound. Because of this the sync isn't perfect, but it's not too far off either. Gear used: 71 (ish) Gibson L6-S straight into an ENGL Powerball head with an EHX Holy Grail reverb and a Boss DD-6 Delay in the effects loop, into an Orange 1x12 cab with a single Celestion vintage 30 speaker. The two weird harmony parts on the first tapped/legato lick were done by overdubbing a double of the lick and manipulating the pitch in Pro Tools, up a fifth if I remember correctly. The mic'd guitar track was treated with compression and EQ and also has added echo via Pro Tools AIR multi-delay. The backing track was created with Superior Drummer 2.0, Xpand2, and Vacuum plugins.
