Tobi Nice, Jms aka J da Kid & The Fonky Monkeys - Was geht ab? Im März 2009 lernte der Paderborner Mc Tobi Nice den Drummer Igor Lier von TheAcidBurgerProject kennen. Dieser teilte im mit das er zu dem in einer Funk Band spielen würde und lust hätte mit einem Rapper zusammen zuarbeiten um eine Combination aus Rap-Funk-Rock zu gestalten . Dieses Angebot konnte er nicht abschlagen und so entstand zuerst die Band Tobi Nice & the Funky Monkeys. Diese Combo funktionierte so gut , das sie sich trauten ,schon 3 Wochen nach ihrem Zusammenschluss ,an dem Paderborner Band-Contest in der Kulturwerkstatt teil zu nehmen . Ohne große Erwartungen gingen die vier Funky Monkeys auf die bünhe und rockten das Haus..doch leider reichte dieses nicht aus ,da beim Voten 1 euro pro Stimme verlangt wurde, und verständlicherweise niemand bereit war für eine unbekannte Band Geld zu bezahlen . Nach diesem Auftritt kam Tobi Nice die Idee einen 2ten Rapper mit an Bord zu nehmen , und zwar JMS! Diese würde die Combination noch mehr abrunden und für mehr Abwechslung sorgen . Also nahm Tobi Nice den Rapper JMS mit zur Bandprobe . Als der Rest der Band hörte wie J das Mic rockte gab es keinen Weg drum herum ihn in die Band auf zu nehmen..
