The Inchcape Guide to Car Servicing

Regular car servicing can extend the life of a vehicle. The reason for this is simple - defects are found before they become catastrophic. A small investment in routine car servicing and repair, plus a good inspection programme results in a good return on that investment due to: * Reduced cost of repairs over the life of the vehicle * Reducing unforeseen and possible breakdown risks * Reduced vehicle time off the road * Less inconvenience and less unforeseen expense * Less likelihood of car accidents * The possibility of greater fuel economy * The possibility of increased product life eg tyres last longer, brake discs do not become scored and in need of replacement

It is named after the American astronomer Edwin Hubble. Although not the first space telescope, the Hubble is one of the largest and most versatile, and is well-known as both a vital research tool and a public relations boon for astronomy. The HST is a collaboration between NASA and the European Space Agency, and is one of NASA's Great Observatories, along with the Compton Gamma Ray Observatory, the Chandra X-ray Observatory, and the Spitzer Space Telescope. Space telescopes were proposed as early as 1923. The Hubble was funded in the 1970s, with a proposed launch in 1983, but the project was beset by technical delays, budget problems, and the Challenger disaster. When finally launched in 1990, scientists found that the main mirror had been ground incorrectly, severely compromising the telescope's capabilities. However, after a servicing mission in 1993, the ...

How to Change Outboard Motor Gearbox Oil Yamaha

www.reefari.com How to change outboard motor gearbox Oil is a quick video on servicing your gearbox on your outboard. This video shows how easy it is for somone to do themselves. All gearboxes work on the same principle and should be similar for four stroke and two stroke gearboxes. I don't claim to be an expert, so please forgive me if not 100% technically correct, but does the job and can save you some money on servicing costs. I recommend using your manufacturers oil for your outboard motor, and your local dealer will have this and also you can buy a small pump and fitting suitable for your outboard. It's just a matter of draining the oil from your gearbox, by releasing the top and bottom bung. Attach your pump, and change the oil by pumping from the bottom, until the oil flows from the top bung hole. This ensures no air pockets in the gearbox or your oil. Ensure bungs are tightly screwed back in place. Just check your seals on your bungs and change regularly to ensure a good seal. Too easy and your Oil is changed. Do this as per manufacturers recommendation, or I like to do every 100 hours, Costs very little to do this oil change, our little 40 HP Yamaha 4 stroke, only used probably half a litre of oil. Also another job and worth doing when changing your gearbox oil, is to take off your prop and check for fishing line or braid wrapped around your prop shaft, this will eventually cut into your gearbox seal and let water into your gearbox and oil, and if not detected ...

This is my first video with me in front of the camera - so please go easy. This is just a quick 'how to' instructional for removing driveshaft hub nuts on a Citroen Xantia 1.9 turbo-diesel. The process is similar to many other makes and model of front wheel drive cars. I'm hoping to video entire engine replacement process on a Xantia and then upload footage in a series of instructional videos. Even though I have worked on cars professionally these videos are designed for DIY fans who may only have access to conventional tools. However, if I demonstrate a 'short cut' it will only be an established safe method. Please rate, comment, and subscribe. Thanks for watching and a big hello to all my subscribers. DIY MOSQUITO CONTROL pesticide FREE mosquito control Solar Powered Fan West Nile Virus

Using a Maxx Air Flow fan 24", the Orange one from The Home Depot $99 (EXCELLENT FANS) You can clean an area in a few nights breaking an uncontrolled population cycle. This option requires 250 watts of electricity but does not require any pesticides. The screens serve a dual purpose, they also collect dust and fine particulates and eventually form a mat of air junk. The screen provides an easy cleaning option and prevents dire from entering the bearings of the induction motor. The solar option uses a 27 watt blower fan and works great for pigeon and chicken coops, animal kennels and outdoor porches. Place the fans near infested or high traffic areas. KEEP FANS DRY, no rain. Always Unplug when servicing screens or moving. Place the inlet side towards people or animals so you suck the mosquitos away. This also sucks in carbon dioxide creating an attraction trail for the mosquitos to follow sticking them to the back of the fan:-) I have a few more options in the works: WATER COLLECTION NESTS By placing leaves and yard debris in the bottom of a container and filling it with water, the leaves decompose and provide an attractive spot for mosquitos to place their larvae. Once visible, you MUST collect the larvae with a fine fish net and dry them in the sun. This option prevent mosquitos from nesting in ditches and other areas where you cannot stop the cycle. YOU MUST clean daily or you create a mosquito farm. BATS: I have a DIY VIDEO on how to build a bat house and tips on ...

Behind the Scenes on Endeavour's Final Flight

Watch this and other space videos at SpaceRip.com You won't want this video to end. Go behind the scenes on the space shuttle Endeavour's final flight, and the second to the last flight in NASA's space shuttle program. It's also the final mission for the legendary shuttle commander, astronaut Mark Kelly, who is now retiring from NASA. Here's a little background. Endeavour was the fifth and final NASA space shuttle to be built, a replacement for the lost shuttle Challenger. Since 1992, it has successfully flown 25 missions, playing an instrumental role in servicing the Hubble Space Telescope and in the construction of the International Space Station. Among Endeavour's missions was the first to include four spacewalks, and then the first to include five. Its STS-67 mission set a length record almost two full days longer than any shuttle mission before it. Its airlock is the only one to have seen three spacewalkers exit through it for a single spacewalk. And in its cargo bay, the first two pieces of the International Space Station were joined together. On STS-134, Endeavor delivers a new, cutting edge science experiment to the space station the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer. It's a state-of-the-art, high energy particle physics experiment built in Geneva by a collaboration of 16 different countries. It will search for clues on what the universe is made of and how it began, the origin of dark matter, antimatter and strangelets, pulsars, blazers and gamma ray bursters. And ...

Hubble Telescope Replacement: The James Webb Space ...

Last week we did a story on the Hubble telescope and the upcoming and final servicing mission to fix it up. The James Webb Space Telescope was mentioned, but not many details were given. This video found on the NASA site shows what is new with JWST, why it is better than the Hubble and a bit of what we can expect. The telescope is still being built and it is possible it will be delayed a bit, but JWST is scheduled to fly no earlier than 2013, so we have a bit of time to admire the images from Hubble a bit longer.

Inspirational Video for Avro Vulcan XH558

***Update 26 April 2012 This evening XH558 has made her first two flights after servicing for routine checks. However, this does not mean that no more funding is required, and the targets below still need to be met to ensure this season's flights and displays can be carried out*** Avro Vulcan XH558 is, as ever, facing hard times. Due to changes in financial regulations and the general economic climate, a total of £300000 needs to be raised by the end of May 2012 to ensure aircraft can display in 2012, where she will perform a flypast to commemorate the dedication of a memorial for 30th Anniversary of the Falkands conflict at the National Memorial Arboretum, and celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. April's target is £75000, of which approaching £36000 has been raised. Overall, £200000 has been raised during the current appeal. Please visit www.vulcantothesky.org to find out how you can help keep the world's last airworthy Avro Vulcan flying. Colored Stone Ring Part 2 Setting the Stones

Now that we have our mounting assembled we need to start setting our stones. A fairly new jeweler starting out may take five or six hours to put this ring together and set the stones. A good jeweler with experience should be able to assemble this ring and set the stones in about an hour and a half, definitely less than two hours. If you were hand fabricating this ring instead of the hour and a half to two hours you're looking at 6 to 7 hours. So there is definitely a time-saving and a price savings in making this ring from the cast findings rather than hand fabricating the entire ring. Southeastern Findings has been a leader in the wholesale jewelry business for over 30 years of family experience servicing the Independent Jeweler. We carry a large selection of 14K, 18K, and Platinum Findings, as well as Jewelers Tools and Equipment, Shop Supplies, and much more.
