Seven string active pickups. An EMG707 and some Blackouts. What does it mean? Mr. Eric Fetterman of Tokyo, a young man with a penchant for metal guitar... is about to find out... on the Twilight Zone. So, yeah. Pretty self explanatory. I loves me some active seven string goodness, so I thought I'd do a little comparison video for y'all. This video surprised me a bit since they sounded different recorded direct than they do in person through an amp or whatevah. As stated in the video, the equipment used is: an Ibanez RG7EXFX2 (27" baritone) with EMG707s and an Ibanez RG1527 with Seymour Duncan Blackouts, both tuned to seven-string standard, and both run through my Axe-FX Ultra. As a side note, I hate how the programs I use to edit videos always stretch everything out to make the videos look widescreen, but everything is really just as flat as a pancake. Dammit... I also realize that some of the info I said in the video is incorrect nonsense. The RG1527 is the Edge Pro and not the Lo Pro and I was playing with the neck pickup when I said the bridge. But eh. Who cares?
