The God MC, Rakim, Finally shows off a song from his long awaited album, The Seventh Seal. _________________ Rakim (pronounced Rah-KIM) (full name Rakim Allah, born William Michael Griffin Jr. on January 28, 1968 in Wyandanch, Long Island, New York) is an American rapper and pioneer of the musical genre of hip hop, known as one half of the duo Eric B. & Rakim. Rakim is often referenced as one of the most influential and skilled MCs of all time. Eric B. & Rakim broke up in 1992 after releasing three more albums: Follow The Leader, Let the Rhythm Hit 'Em and Don't Sweat The Technique. All four of the duo's albums are now considered hip hop standards. Due to legal wrangling over royalties and his contracts with both his record label and with Eric B, Rakim did not release a solo album for another five years. He signed with his good friend at the time DeShamus "Q=BOB" Sallis of Q=BOB Records but the label folded shortly afterward. He then returned in 1997 with The 18th Letter, which included collaborations with DJ Premier and Pete Rock; released in two versions, one of which included an Eric B. & Rakim greatest hits disc titled The Book of Life. The Bollock Brothers - The Seventh Seal
Album: THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE / "Seventh Seal" similarly breaks with any previous Bollocks Brothers formula, and is also credited as having been written by Vangelis. The song begins and ends with acoustic piano and transitions to an extremely overdriven guitar that's mixed low behind the prominent synthesizer. In the second verse a synth plays the whistling refrain from Ennio Moricone's Fistful Of Dollars soundtrack, and later on (around the 4:25 mark) he revisits the title track by quoting the "Wooop Woo" chorus from "Sympathy For The Devil." The lyrics are a discription of the Lamb of God opening each of the seven seals to reveal various riders on horseback. Once again he makes some boldly releigious statements like; "I say, Hail Mary, full of grace, praise the name of the Lord to the whole human race!" and "Praise the name of the Lord where ever you go."

The Opening of the Seventh Seal of Revelation - Urgent
We are at one of the most intriguing points in history. Many prophets would have been overjoyed to see the events of Revelation in full swing. Of course, the events are also very frightening - and the book of Revelation doesn't hold back in foretelling the nature of the calamities that this world is yet to experience. St. John on the island of Patmos would have had no idea of the nature of the things that God was about to reveal to him. Earthquakes, plagues of unimaginable proportions, wars, the rise of Satan's false prophet & antichrist, and his grandest deceptions, as well as the Second Coming of Christ; were all given to him in a startling vision. Of course, we are at the tail end of History. The Fifth Seal in Revelation tells of the martyrs that died for Christ. We know this has occurred throughout history (ie Christians being mauled to death by lions in the Roman Coliseum & the Roman Catholic Inquisition), that the prophecy of the Fifth Seal being opened has already come to pass in more ways than one. So where exactly does that leave us? The Seventh Seal is the one we are ultimately waiting for, as it is this one that will change the world as we know it. Some Christians believe the Sixth Seal has already occurred (ie the Great Lisbon earthquake in 1755.) In any case, we are near the end time of Christ arriving, and we best be on guard, for the world will experience the calamities that come from the plagues of the 7 trumpets, and great earthquakes are one such feature <b>...</b>

Balance is the 10th studio album by American hard rock band Van Halen. It was released in 1995 and, to date, is the fourth and final Van Halen album of all-new material featuring lead singer Sammy Hagar. It was also a more complete divergence from their earlier, more heavy metal sound. It has the hard rock elements of For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, mixed with the dark and somber themes from OU812. Although the album was mostly made at 5150 Studios, Hagar and producer Fairbairn recorded vocals at Little Mountain Sound Studios in Vancouver [Hagar claims in his autobiography that this was because Eddie Van Halen was overbearing with his criticism and attempted direction of his vocal takes]. Originally, the title of the album was to be named Seventh Seal. Behind the scenes, Van Halen was falling apart. Eddie Van Halen was in need of a hip replacement, and Alex Van Halen was suffering from neck pain. Van Halen's new manager was Ray Danniels, who happened to be Alex Van Halen's brother in-law, who took over managing the band after Ed Leffler passed away in October 1993.
