Shellac Nails

For more info please see my website: www.lisae.me.uk I love painting my nails different colours and getting the occasional manicure but its always a pain when they either smudge immediately or start to chip a day or two later. When I first heard about Shellac it sounded like a dream come truea nail polish that doesnt budge for at least 2 weeks! This film shows the complete application process and explains what its all about. Ill post a photo of my nails two weeks after the treatment so you can see how they are doing. Hope you enjoy this bit of fun. Its coming to a salon near you! Btw, David, the lovely guy who did my Shellac so beautifully has joined twitter, hes twitter.com

Chick Webb and his Orchestra feat Ella Fitzgerald Shellack Record on Gemini PDT 6000

Found this morning at the Frankfurt flea market this nice shellack record, consisting of Chick Webb & his Orchestra feat. Ella Fitzgerald. The Track was released on Brunswick approx. somewhere in 1938. Playback turntable is a Gemini PDT 6000 with a built-in AD/DA converter, which can handle the 78rpm speed requirement and as pickup is used a simple one from Ortofon (Concorde). cheerz_ ptrk

Can You Eat Healthy At Whataburger - Whataburger Food Review

Whataburger Food Review - Can you eat healthy at Whataburger. Whataburger food is the same low quality food that most fast food restaurants use. Whataburger does use some questionable ingredients in its food: partially hydrogenated oil or trans fat is in the chicken strips. Azodicarbonamide - a known carcinogen is in the bread, both white and whole grain wheat. The wheat bread also uses ethoxylated mono and diglycerides which allows Whataburger to skip adding shortening in the bread making process. Whataburger coats it's tomatoes with vegetable wax, beeswax, petroleum and/or shellack. Petroleum and shellack are odd ingredients for food. Even for fast food. www.bryanmarcel.com

Roaring 20s:Billy Jones, Ernest Hare- Don't Bring Lulu, 1925

BILLY JONES (born 1889, died 1940) and ERNEST HARE (born 1883, died 1939) met in 1919 and formed a team at the suggestion of Brunswick recording executive. They recorded for Brunswick and many other companies as Jones and Hare, The Happiness Boys. Jones is the tenor; Hare, the bass/baritone. When they performed on a network radio show for Interwoven Socks, they called themselves The Interwoven Pair. They also made theater and club appearances. They reached the height of their popularity in 1929-30 as The Happiness Boys, because as radio entertainers they were sponsored, beginning in August 1923 on Manhattan New York station WEAF, by the Happiness Candy Stores. By 1924 they adopted "How Do You Do?" as their radio theme song. In 1928, Jones and Hare became the highest paid singers in radio, $1250 a week. Recording: Billy Jones & Ernest Hare, vocals -- Don't Bring Lulu, Victor 1925
