Depth Dwellers PC / DOS Review - Lazy Game Reviews

Depth Dwellers - a poor man's Doom, a poor man's fate, a poor FPS game indeed. The cause of the economic crisis revealed in this review of: Depth Dwellers The goal of these videos is to see how quick I can crank out a review after a long day at work, with about one minute reviews based on a theme of games (however, this one is a single game, Depth Dwellers, for the MS-DOS OS). These are not meant to be taken seriously whatsoever, it's just me having some fun. Chainsaw Felatio by vSnares is the theme, for those who've asked!

CPM Film tools DSLR RIG Shoulder shooter kit review. - DSLR Film NOOB

www.dslrfilmnoob.com This is a quick review of the http DSLR shoulder shooter kit. I've spent 3 months using this rig on several projects before putting together this review. Over the course of the last year and half I've used quit a number of DSLR rigs before settling on this configuration. There are a few tweaks that still need to be made to this design before I would call it perfect, but for its price range it is a very well made device. Pros: Light weight, Carbon fiber construction, Solid build quality, Cage configuration protects camera, Lifetime warranty, Cons: Less configurable then some other rigs, Shoulder plate needs improvement, Handle grips need to be better secured, Lacking top mounting holes for accessories, Bottom line: This is a great rig for the price range of $500, and it seems every month cpmfilmtools.com upgrades or reconfigures rigs based on user input. In the 3 month time frame I've had this rig to test out, they have address a few issues I've had with my model. The light weight design keeps your rig lighter, but the lack of wish bone type connectors limits otherwise possible configurations that some users might need. Video was shot on a canon HF S100. Wireless mic sennheiser. Rig configuration includes: Canon 7d, Zoom h4n, Azden SGM-2X, Lilliput Monitor, D|FOCUS fallow focus

Classic Game Room - HOMEFRONT review

Classic Game Room reviews HOMEFRONT for PS3 Playstation 3 from THQ and Kaos, a first person shooter that remakes the storyline in Red Dawn except with new bad guys and less Charlie Sheen. This first person shooter feels like an amped up version of Call of Duty Modern Warfare or Black Ops which gives it a Black (the PS2 game) style with ultra-powerful weapons and an unstoppable arsenal at your disposal whenever you need it. The single player campaign finishes too short, just as the game starts getting good. Multiplayer may appeal to some multiplayer shooter fans with concepts like in game battle points spent on tanks and helicopters, but it's pretty much more of the same when you get down to it. This CGR video review of Homefront from THQ has gameplay from Homefront on PS3 showing single player FPS shooter gameplay and multiplayer game play on Playstation 3 (and Xbox 360) during Homefront videogame game play.

Classic Game Room - HAL 21 review

Classic Game Room reviews HAL 21, a Playstation Mini for PS3 & PSP from SNK Playmore. This arcade SHMUPS style space ship shooter from SNK was released in 1985 and should appeal to fans of Namco's Xevious. This insanely difficult vertical scrolling SHMUP space ship shooter on Playstation 3 (and PSP) has an old school "Xevious" style with basic weapons and bombs for ground targets. Enemy patterns are fast and erratic and players will need to memorize and shoot for points and extra lives to stay alive. Sadly HAL 21 does not have 2 player co-op gameplay, even though it says so on the screen. No two player coop gameplay in a space ship shooter!? Boo! Aside from that Hal 21 is a solid, affordable videogame with explosions, space ships and laser beams with ultra-challenging gameplay on PS3 and PSP.

This review features the Xbox 360 version of FARCRY 2, review has gameplay footage from Far Cry 2 featuring action, video and HD game play from this first person shooter action game set in Africa. Use machine guns, flame throwers, rocket launchers and a variety of other military grade weaponry to raze the countryside to the ground in your search for an evil arms dealer. Work with factions, mercenaries and mysterious voices to annihilate pretty much everything that moves in the enormous environment surrounding the game. Far Cry 2 has received mixed reviews, CGR enjoys the epic scale of the game, variety of weapons, open world environment, jeeps, boats and mayhem. Gunplay is lacking a bit compared to some other big budget shooters but the size of the game makes FarCry 2 have high replay value with side missions and repeat gun battles with bad guys and arms dealers. IGN Reviews - Nexuiz - Game Review

At first glance, you might think this game looks just like Quake. In actuality, this game was a Quake mod that has been turned into a full game using the CryEngine 3. Don't be fooled that it is a shooter however, its simplicity and easy gameplay makes this game very hard to let go once you pick up the controller. The only thing we didn't like was the lag that occurs occasionally, but haven't we all learned to deal with that already? Classic Game Room reviews DUX for Sega Dreamcast, a 2009 "indie" release for the game console that won't stop rocking! This CGR review of DUX for Sega Dreamcast from Hucast.net and Kontechs has gameplay from Dux, a horizontally scrolling space ship shooter or "SHMUP" for Sega Dreamcast where you fly a spaceship against endless waves of alien scumbags! Cool visuals, awesome music and a fun R-Type style make Dux a treat to play for serious fans of the genre. While the game could have used more options the overall presentation is "indie" and slick while still being playable and fun. Region-free, Dux works on all game consoles (CGR was not able to confirm this on a PAL Dreamcast though), it outputs NTSC and VGA video. Plays with the standard Dreamcast controller or arcade sticks and saves your high scores on Dreamcast VMU card. Classic Game Room HD - DEAD SPACE review Part 1 Xbox 360

Part 1 of 2 in HIGH DEFINITION. Classic Game Room reviews DEAD SPACE for the Xbox 360 video game console. This Dead Space review shows gameplay and footage from this amazing game in HD High Definition game play video. Wow! It's like they made this game for Classic Game Room! It may not have huge Atari sized pixels or ninjas, but what it does have is awesome science fiction ambience, sound design and story telling! You play as Isaac and crawl through a space ship infested with horrible aliens or mutated people, all of whom are trying to decapitate you and rip your limbs from your torso. Gameplay is solid, fast and intense. The video game reminds CGR of Alien, Event Horizon and the video games Bioshock, Resistance and Fallout 3. All good things. Dead Space is somewhat of a horror style 3rd person shooter (should have a FPS first person shooter option) set in space and featuring an awesome Sci-fi movie inspired plot. Hours of boring cutscenes are abandoned in favor of in-game storytelling through some really nice stylized screens and audio logs. There are lots of weapons including cutters and flamethrowers, each gun has 2 different modes of fire. Dead Space is sure to please those looking for a top-notch A-list shooter on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 PS3 or PC. We use the 360 version of the game for this review but we'd imaging, from what we've seen, that the PS3 Dead Space gameplay and footage is very similar if not identical. The game is awesome.

Classic Game Room - ZANAC for NES review

Classic Game Room reviews ZANAC for NES from FCI and Compile, a vertical scrolling space ship shooter released in 1986 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Zanac is a SHMUP with awesome music and a unique weapons power up system that defies ordinary. Collect numbers 1-7 (and upgrade them) to waste waves of enemies that come at you in oddball formations while spewing bullets all over the screen. Zanac is not for the casual shooter fan or those looking for a relaxing game. The adaptive AI learns how you play and evidently hates you (or at least it hates me) because it just goes crazy and fills the screen with enemies. SHMUP spaceship shooter fans may dig the challenge and unorthodox gameplay in Zanac that makes it unique in a sea of similar games. It may be rough around the edges but does pack cool ideas, solid gameplay and great music. This CGR review of Zanac for NES has Zanac gameplay from FCI and Compiles showing Nintendo Zanac game play in HD action. Zanac can also be found on the Nintendo Wii Virtual Console for download.

Classic Game Room - MACROSS PLUS review for Playstation

Macross Plus game review. Classic Game Room reviews MACROSS PLUS The Game Edition for Playstation released in 2000 based on the 1994 anime, Macross Plus. Don't confuse this version with the awesome 1996 Banpresto SHMUP arcade shooter though, this Macross Plus videogame is a good looking game that crashes, burns and explodes with terrible controls. Macross Plus video review features gameplay from Macross Plus played on Japanese PS2, this is an import game (imported to the West) from Japan with Japanese dialog and relatively simple menus that can be navigated easily. Classic Game Room - RED FACTION II review for PS2

Red Faction 2 review. Classic Game Room reviews RED FACTION II for PlayStation 2 from Volition and THQ released in 2002. Red Faction 2 is the sequel to the groundbreaking and amazing RED FACTION 1 released in 2001 with Geo Mod technology and a wicked sense of humor combined with solid first person shooter gameplay. While Red Faction II falls short in many areas including lack of Geo Mod destruction and sloppy early level design, it's frantic pace, hilarious screaming sounds, fire effects and great shooter gameplay make it a winner. CGR Red Faction 2 video review features Red Faction II gameplay recorded from PlayStation 2 PS2. Red Faction II can now be downloaded for your favorite video game console of choice (provided it isn't the Magnavox Odyssey II, Atari 5200 or Vectrex :( You can download for PS3 and Xbox 360.

Classic Game Room HD - DEAD SPACE review Part 2

Part 2 of 2 in HIGH DEFINITION.

Classic Game Room - BLACKLIGHT: TANGO DOWN review

Classic Game Room HD reviews BLACKLIGHT TANGO DOWN for Xbox 360 (also available for PC and Playstation 3 PS3). While Blacklight Tango Down won't blow you away with any new innovations or fancy gimmiks its solid, dependable and familiar gameplay during multiplayer will keep shooter fans happy. Blacklight: Tango Down is a first person shooter that is a download game from XBLA (PC and PS3) showing that you don't need to be a full price, expensive packaged game to have awesome gameplay. The game takes place in the future with Halo-esque soldiers shooting each other with machine guns, shotguns and sniper rifles. It comes with a short campaign and numerous multiplayer maps. CGR enjoyed the multiplayer because of its simplicity and old school style maps. This CGR review of Blacklight Tango Down has gameplay from the FPS Blacklight Tango Down from Zombie and Ignition showing Blacklight Tango Down game play in HD.

Classic Game Room HD - BIOSHOCK review Part 1

Part 1. Classic Game Room HD reviews the amazing BIOSHOCK. This version of the game is for the Xbox 360. This review should also cover the Playstation 3 PS3 release, so this video should excite everyone about Bioshock by reviewing the game, audio and amazing adventure contained within. PS3, PC or Xbox 360, Bioshock is awesome! Bioshock is a first person shooter style FPS game that sinks your character into an amazing underwater city called Rapture. Who are you, why are you there, what's up with this messed up place and how do I get out?? All things you'll learn in Bioshock. Classic Game Room reviews Bioshock with a close attention to detail because Bioshock has an amazing attention to detail. The music is stunning, the graphics thrust you into a crumbling 1930's era art deco environment and the voice acting is top notch... not to mention the awesome story and incredible gameplay. You wield a variety of weapons like pistols, machine guns, grenade launchers and crossbows in Bioshock, but it is not a standard first person shooter like Halo 3 or Resistance Fall of Man. Bioshock vs those other games is not the same, Bioshock on Xbox or PS3 is an experience wrapped around a FPS (presumably, we haven't played the PS3 version but imagine it to be similar to the 360). Do you want to learn how to defeat and beat Big Daddy's, save the little sisters and bring down Andrew Ryan? This isn't a walkthrough or playalong with Bioshock, this is a review, but shold give you an idea of the ...
