AUDITION (short film)

A short film I wrote, directed and edited during the NYFA Paris program in August 2007. This film recently was included as part of the 61st Festival de Cannes Short Film Corner. Late for an audition, and actor is rejected by a surly casting assistant (following the Producer's strict orders). Determined, he attempts several zany ploys to get in, much to the annoyance of the assistant. The actor's struggle is witnessed by the Producer, who ironically decides he is perfect for the part!

Traveling Companion - Short Film 1998

Short film by Paula Goldberg, USA 1998, 19 min. A romantic comedy featuring Susan Savage, Suzanne Mara, Kristin Davis, Diane Himes... Directed and written by Paula Goldberg and produced by Francesca Prada/Diana Films. Thanks to the filmmakers of this beautiful short film that reminds us, that around every corner opportunities exists for finding unexpected love. About the film: Hellen, a travel book writer, seeks for a lesbian travelling companion to accompany her on a trip to Italy. She posts an ad in the personals and gets quite unexpected response. She meets the women who answer the ad at a local cafe where she meets Jessie, a waitress who watches the interviews from a distance. This film has been screened at over 40 festivals around the world and won a few awards along the way. It's one of my favourite short films. Sorry, the quality is a bit low. I hope you still enjoy the journey... Thanks in advance for watching and comments. "Life is a journey that must be travelled, no matter how bad the roads and accommodations." LOVE is love and knows no boundaries; no matter if Lesbian Gay Bi Trans or hetero love. To love and to be loved is the greatest gift in life. Hugs, Ilkamy

I Met the Walrus

In 1969, a 14-year-old Beatle fanatic named Jerry Levitan snuck into John Lennon's hotel room in Toronto and convinced him to do an interview. 38 years later, Levitan, director Josh Raskin and illustrators James Braithwaite and Alex Kurina have collaborated to create an animated short film using the original interview recording as the soundtrack. A spellbinding vessel for Lennon's boundless wit and timeless message, I Met the Walrus was nominated for the 2008 Academy Award for Animated Short and won the 2009 Emmy for 'New Approaches' (making it the first film to win an Emmy on behalf of the internet).

!!! SUMMER PROMOTION !!! 50% OFF DRIFTWARS VOL.2 DVD. SEE THE TRAILER AND ORDER ON : DriftWarsDVD.com (NOW 10$) This car, is one of the first Nissan Silvias imported into Quebec. It's a Nissan Silvia S13 1989. The owner now had it for 5 years. It's been his summer car and drift car. Normally, drift cars are all destroyed and have the "drifting style" with zip-ties and destroyed corner panels and are most of the time in a garage because theirs something wrong with it. This car is an exception. He never got back home on a tow-truck. The car has only one small scratch because of a tire that exploded a couple of years ago and that's it. The car is mint! The engine bay is also among one of the cleanest ones I've seen. He is passionate about his car and that's what I tried to show in the video. Two-Tone was a school project, I only had a couple of weeks to film it and out of luck, it was raining most of the time. I hope you will like this video and enjoy the cleanest of the car. Boo! Short Film Recap

Twitter.com - Follow Us! www.youtube.com - Watch Boo! Did you check out the new David Henrie short film staring some of your favorites in Young Hollywood. We've got a recap for the 10-minute video. Welcome back to to another episode of Clevver TV, I'm Dana Ward. Today we're breaking down the cool new short film called BOO... because maybe you haven't seen it yet or maybe you're just too spooked to find it online. So it's about 10-minutes long, produced by David Henrie, Johnny Salvatore and Chris Rossi AND it was all shot using just a normal camera with an attached light. So the short starts with a celeb-packed Escalade, including Allen Evangelista, Samantha Droke, Francia Raisa, Chris Hunter and Tiffany Thornton. Mark Hapka gets out in order to run inside - he forgot his wallet - finally girlfriend Thornton heads inside to check on him. Obviously, everyone's getting restless in the car, when Samantha speaks out about the place's janitor is super creepy and how she wouldn't be surprised if he kills them all. Then we see a shot of someone peeking out around the corner at the car. Uh oh. Next, Raisa gets out of the car to make a call, followed by Allen who doesn't want to witness the other two making out. The lovebirds hear a weird beeping noise. Hunter gets out, he finds a broom and goes to return it. He shocks Droke when he slams into the car window, so she frantically runs inside to find all of her friends laying down in an elevator. Lights are flickering and a weirdo ...

Idiots and Angels (excerpt from short film 2008)

www.idiotsandangels.com A serious accomplishment., 25 June 2008 Author: projectcyclops from United Kingdom Idiots and Angels is a film by long time animator and Oscar nominee Bill Plympton. The film is completely without dialogue, relying on characters actions and fantasies to tell the story. It opens with our anti-hero 'Angel' waking up, shaving, showering and having his breakfast. He drives through the bustling traffic and blows up a car that takes his parking space, then heads to a seedy bar. The bar is populated by the surly landlord, his beautiful, neglected wife and a rather rotund woman sitting in the corner. Angel orders a drink and puffs away on his cigarettes until a cocoon in his hair suddenly gives birth to a butterfly. In their own way each character expresses how they feel - The landlord wants to capture the butterfly and use it to generate business, the fat lady wants to have the natural beauty of the thing and be worshiped by men, the wife would like to soar above the heavens on it's back. Angel? He wants to smash it. Angel is a bad man and his routine is simple: drink, sell guns and smoke cigarettes. One morning he wakes up to discover two small bones sticking out of his back which he manages to cut off with his razor, but the bones are persistent and have soon grown into fully functioning wings. Mother With One Eye- Live Short Film

Short Film Project I did for mother's day. The other version was messed up and I promised you guys I would re-edit and so here it is. My first project so bare with me. Enjoy and share! The mother with one eye: My mom only had one eye. I hated her... She was such an embarrassment. My mom helped clean the school and church. She collected cans and bottles... anything for the money we needed, she was such an embarrassment. There was this one day during elementary school, I remember it was recess, and my mom came. I was so embarrassed. How could she do this to me? I threw her a hateful look and ran away. The next day at school..."Your mom only has one eye?!" and they taunted me. I wished that my mom would just disappear from this world so I said to my mom, "Mom, why don't you have the other eye?! You're only going to make me a laughingstock. Why don't you just die?" My mom did not respond. I guess I felt a little bad, but at the same time, it felt good to think that I had said what I'd wanted to say all this time. Maybe it was because my mom hadn't punished me, but I didn't think that I had hurt her feelings very badly. That night... I woke up, and went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. My mom was crying there, so quietly, as if she was afraid that she might wake me. I took a look at her, and then turned away. Because of the thing I had said to her earlier, there was something pinching at me in the corner of my heart. Even so, I hated my mother who was crying out of her ...

The Sandman

A short film done in the style of a german expressionist silent film. It is meant to illustrate Freud's theory of "the uncanny" which is based on ETA Hoffmann's short story "the Sandman". It is a work in progress. Starring Thomy Kessler as the Sandman The music is both from public domain recordings of classical music on wax cylinders and some of my own music. Originally it was created as a portion of a documentary feature on sex dolls and the men who love them. It was created to set up a section on the idea of THE UNCANNY. The final version of this is currently making festival rounds right now, including the Short Film Corner in Cannes, and the Nashville international Film Festival basically it is the story of when a man loves an android
