Rebuilt 305 Small Block Chevy FOR SALE
I just rebuilt this 305ci Small Block Chevy out of a 1984 chevy 1/2 ton pickup truck. This motor is for sale I am asking $750. Price is negotiable. The engine was completely disassembled and all parts where cleaned. I replaced the rear main seals, main bearings, rod bearings, oil pan gasket, piston rings, timing set, head gaskets, valve stem seals, valve cover gasket, carburetor, exhaust manifolds (with headers), intake manifold, water pump, fuel pump, thermostat, and a couple of other things but thats most of the major stuff. THE ENGINE TEST STAND AND RADIATOR DO NOT COME WITH THE ENGINE. I am only selling the engine with carb, headers, and starter, and so on. BMW E36 M3 - V8; small block chevy.The bore is 4.040,It has a scat steel crank and H-beam rods with J&E pistons.main girdle.The block had all of the machine work performed.It was line bored decked and cylinders squared with the crank.The cylinder heads are a new set of phase 6 bowtie heads that were opened up and have a set of under cut and polished SS valves.rollers and girdle up top. Edelbrock Victor E manifold with a Barry Grant Mighty Demon.And the best part is a NOS Big Sot system with 350hp jets for now. In the video the headers are not on yet I just wanted to fire the engine.The headers are still in shipping.I will film more as my project comes togather.

283ci Chevrolet small block rebuild
this 283 had a complete overhaul. i replaced the camshaft with a summit cam .204in .214 ex duration .420 in .442ex lift The Edelbrock intake i bought off of eBay. all new valve train, the carburetor is so nice ran terrific. i like the trick summit dual feed fuel line with the gauge . you can tell when the fuel filter is getting bad with this thing on there. the heads are original 1965 power pack's this was a matching #'s engine the pistons are .040 over speed pro forged flattops,with stock rods, stock crankshaft. installed the the points style distributor is a pertronix ignitor, with a flame thrower 35000 volt coil. Behind the double roller timing chain is a thrust bearing to help the cam rev smoother. all new bearings throughout. clevette 77 oil pump i sold it a year later for 1500. the guy i sold it to says it still does not leak a drop of oil even after 4-5 years.

Part Three Setting the initial timing on a Chevy small block. I have set the timing on over a hundred small blocks, and rebuilt many a classic chevy, for a time it is what I did for a living. This is a THREE part guide on how to set the initial timing. I am very repetitive, and go slowly over this process. Find top Dead Center of your #1 cylinder, line up your rotor with a cap tower, that tower is number one. Run spark plug wire from #1 tower to #1 cylinder, then go around the cap from there. This is for Chevy small blocks, the order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. Hopefully this helps someone. Thanks for viewing. For those of who you watched all three and want to tell me I am wrong, this won't set TDC, make a video of your own, tell me how you set TDC, if you use a vacuum gauge it's the same thing as feeling the piston stroke your just watching gauge tell you where you at versus a dowel or wire. And I am going to start deleting, wait I have deleted some already, comments that state the advance for certain engines. Cam, Dizzy, and vacuum advance cannisters, will change what you should set the advance at! So don't tell everyoneto set thier 350 at X, when with a bigger cam X won't be right. And if I get one more moron telling me the firing order is wrong I will send them a bus ticket to come here so I can personally slap them in the head.

Got a new muffler. Here's the different sounds for your reference in case you're thinking about an exhaust change. The truck: '85 GMC C10, 305, quadrajet, THM350 transmission. No catalytic converter. Here's the three different sounds. First one is the old muffler with dumps. Second one is straight pipes after I cut the old muffler off. Third one is the new Flowmaster 10 single chamber with dumps.
