A demonstration down the street by pro-Mladic men who view war criminal Ratko Mladic as a war hero. Mladic allegedly presided over the five-day slaughter of Muslim men and boys who were systematically executed. Some of the worst atrocities in the Bosnian War took place on this bridge. Every day, Bosniak men, women and children were killed, their bodies thrown into the Drina River. The Mehmed Pasa Sokolovic Bridge was built at the end of the 16th century by court architect Sinan, the Ottoman Empire's master builder (his masterpieces are all over Istanbul).
