No$GBA Mic Workarounds...

Well.. basically, there are some times playing a DS game with No$GBA... this video has two different workarounds.... The first workaround requires a set of headphones.. simply plug the headphones into the microphone jack. The jack can usually be found next to the headphone jack on most computers, though sometimes it's located in back - coated in pink - as well. After that, simply go to Control Panel then to Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices then to Sounds and Audio Devices then to Voice and click Test Hardware. Follow the onscreen instructions at that point. The other workaround is not for actual talking... rather, it's for "blowing". An example is Phoenix Wright... the fifth case, you must blow aluminum powder to uncover fingerprints.... That's what this workaround is for. It is NOT for games like Nintendogs though, where you must constantly yell commands. To start, click the following link: dw.com.com Then, click the drop down box to the lower right of the stop button and select Wave Out Mix. (pic: i29.tinypic.com As long as you have No$GBA music on, the game will read it as you blowing through the mic. To stop this effect, simply change Wave Out Mix to one of the other options. Made by Tsunaphoenix3 of YouTube. I do not own Audacity, No$GBA, or any music.

Almost There - The Muir Project

During the summer of 2011, a group of multimedia artists spent 25 days hiking the 219 mile long John Muir Trail. Their intent was to capture their experience on the trail and bring it back to the general public in the form of a gallery exhibit including photographs, video installations and hands-on displays that allow visitors to truly get a feeling for the beauty and majesty of the trail without the burning lungs and blisters. Alongside the exhibit will be a feature length documentary chronicling their adventures on the trail. This is the first glimpse into their epic journey, accompanied by the single, ALMOST THERE by Opus Orange. Solution to No Audio Output Device is installed

No Audio Output Device is Installed problem solved. Follow the easy steps and your sound will be back. Thank you for watching! If you don't have the "sound, video, and game controllers" option you might have to download the correct sound driver from the internet (google) or from your computer manufacturer's website. Here are some of the driver(s) that may work (google them): "Vista_Win7_R241_x86" File From RealTek According to a friendly viewer (bluveeta): "If it still doesn't work for you after step 3, after you have downgraded to your old sound driver, reinstall the newest version again. Sometimes when a problem with a driver occurs you can fix it by reinstalling it (to do this downgrade then upgrade back to your newest/original driver ) *this is what worked for me w/ a toshiba satellite. It should work on other pc's if all else fails." ****UPDATE**** (May 15, 2011) Check this link in case you have problems with Device Manager. I am still looking for an answer as to why some people have "sound, video, and game controllers" showing in the device manager while others do not. social.technet.microsoft.com

Modifying the Yamaha PSS80 Electronic Synthesizer Keyboard

A How-To Video from ClydeSight Productions Sponsored by COUNT MY TEXT! word and character counting and optimizing software. Visit the Web site at: www.clydesight.com I bought a Yamaha PSS80 at a yard sale, and discovered that it did not have a sound output jack. Some later versions of this little keyboard may have corrected this problem. This video shows step-by-step how to modify a Yamaha PSS80 "Portasound" electronic keyboard by installing a direct sound output jack for patching it into mixing boards, computers or any audio device. While this instrument is not a true synthesizer, it has some unique synthesizer sounds that can be a very useful part of the electronic musician's toolkit. This technique can be used with any keyboard that has speakers but no direct sound output jack. The modifications require a few simple tools and one 1/8" non-circuit breaking mini jack, available at Radio Shack. When modified, the Yamaha keyboard is able to patch and play music directly into audio devices, including the line-in of a computer, with no loss of sound quality. This allows one to use the unique synthesizer sounds in a variety of ways, mixing it with other tracks of a music composition in a sound editor, for example. At the same time, it will play through its own speaker, which in some cases can create a modified "stereo" effect. The music performed in this video is Yamaha's own "demo song" built into the little keyboard. ************** "Modifying the Yamaha PSS80 Electronic ...

Juicedlink DS214 Review - DSLR FILM NOOB

www.dslrfilmnoob.com There are many new audio devices being released for DSLR film makers. One of the latest is the Juicedlink DS214. The DS214 is considered the part of Juicedlink's Value line. At about a quarter of the price of Juicedlink's flagship model, the DT454, you can pick the DS214 up for about $144 on amazon or B&H. www.bhphotovideo.com As far as audio quality goes, juicedlink products are top notch. The only real complaint I have is the design. The 1/4 20 hole is in a rather awkward location, and the included audio cable is very short. I used my makerbot to build an adapter that makes the mounting a lot easier. You can find out more about that here: wp.me Over all, I think the Juicedlink DS214 is a handy tool.
