Dr. Bangor [Storyline] Billy Halleck is an arrogant, obese upper-class lawyer living in suburban Maine. One day, while driving, he accidentally runs over an old Gypsy woman with his car when his wife distracts him by performing oral sex on him. The Gypsy woman's husband, 106-year old Tadzu Lempke ("Taduz Lemke" in the book), curses Billy by touching his face and saying the word, "Thinner." The curse causes Billy to lose weight rapidly, regardless of how much he eats. The old man also curses two of Billy's close friends who helped him avoid punishment for the Gypsy woman's death. Later, one of them starts turning into a lizard; the other becomes mutated with oversized pimples and commits suicide. Because only Lempke can remove the curse since he put it on, Billy must persuade the ancient Gypsy to lift the curse with the help of his friend, an underworld crime boss by the name of Richie "The Hammer" Ginelli. Richie decides to cause a ruckus ...

13 Minute interview w/ Stephen King on February 16th, 1997 on the program "60 Minutes"

Fascinating interview with Stephen King on February 16th, 1997 on the "60 Minutes" program. Also features parts of an interview with Tabitha King. A couple of the tidbits available in this interview are: Stephen King quote "I'm a literally equivalent of a Big Mac and Fries." and He has macular degeneration. There is a transcript of this interview at www.stephen-king.de And the audio only of this interview is available from www.stephenkingshop.com I recorded this on VHS video tape (kids, look that up on Wikipedia) in 1997. I just threw out all my remaining video tapes of self-recorded material except for things which I thought might be irreplaceable, like this.

STEPHEN KING'S: THE TALISMAN by Mathieu Ratthe

"The Talisman - "DEMO SCENE" is based on a novel by Stephen King and Peter Straub. My main objective for creating this piece is to demonstrate my directing ability and my vision to the producers who own the rights to the story: STEVEN SPIELBERG & KATHLEEN KENNEDY. Among the key players who lent their support to this project are Cameron Bright (X-Men: The Last Stand, Birth) who starred in the leading role, the Montreal-based company Buzz Image (300; The Aviator) who created the visual effects. The scene was shot in two days.

11.22.63 by Stephen King

WHAT IF you could go back in time and change the course of history? WHAT IF the watershed moment you could change was the JFK assassination? 11/22/63, the date that Kennedy was shot - unless . . . King takes his protagonist Jake Epping, a high school English teacher from Lisbon Falls, Maine, 2011, on a fascinating journey back to 1958 - from a world of mobile phones and iPods to a new world of Elvis and JFK, of Plymouth Fury cars and Lindy Hopping, of a troubled loner named Lee Harvey Oswald and a beautiful high school librarian named Sadie Dunhill, who becomes the love of Jake's life - a life that transgresses all the normal rules of time. With extraordinary imaginative power, King weaves the social, political and popular culture of his baby-boom American generation into a devastating exercise in escalating suspense.
Stephen King's Silver Bullet (1/11)

Based on Stephen King's novella Cycle of the Werewolf, Silver Bullet concerns a small mountain community terrorized by a half-man/half-beast of folklore. After an encounter with the murderous werewolf, wheelchair-bound Marty Coslaw (Corey Haim) becomes saddled with the unfortunate knowledge of the beast's human alter ego. With some help from his sister (Megan Follows), his goodhearted alcoholic uncle (Gary Busey), and his turbo-charged wheelchair, he sets out to rid the town of the murderous scourge. King also wrote the screenplay.

Stephen King Announces "Shining" Sequel

LIMITED TIME ONLY! Jasmine V App $1.99 mhlo.co The long anticipated sequel toThe Shining, titled Dr. Sleep, is now official! There aren't many details available about Dr. Sleep— Stephen King broke the news on his website yesterday in an item about two tweets long — but he did read an excerpt at George Mason University last weekend. It appears the sequel follows a grownup Danny Torrance, a hospice worker who helps patients die painlessly. He comes into contact with a clan of roving, psychic vampires called The Tribe. King says he's close to finishing the manuscript. The last we heard of the troubled and mystical Danny Torrance, he had just conquered the malicious Overlook Hotel, losing his father, Jack, along the way. Stanley Kubrick adapted the "The Shining" into his iconic 1980 film of the same name starring Jack Nicholson as Danny's father. Over thirty years later, Danny's story will be continued. King said of his follow-up novel at GMU: This is an idea that I've had for some time. I wrote a novel in the '70s called The Shining... I always wondered what happened to that kid, Danny Torrance, when he grew up... and this story started to form. The book isn't finished yet, it's called Dr. Sleep. This kinda goes back to: what's the worst thing you can think of? I knew that there were bad people in this story that were like vampires, only that what they sucked out was not blood, but psychic energy from special people like Danny Torrance. And I came to realize that these ...
