Nightmare Before Christmas and Tool's Ænima album sync up surprisingly well, not lyrically, but musically. Rather than a choreographed link-up, it's more like an extended music video for the entire album. Here's the first song, Stinkfist. If you want to try it, check out this thread: tinyurl.com I did NOT come up with this idea and I'm not taking credit for it. There are many interpretations to this idea, and in a way, they are all correct. Whatever way YOU like is the best way. This particular sync (continuing through to the end of Third Eye) is my favorite. For some reason, Youtube is terrible at keeping audio and video in sync. The '360p' version has the video just slightly (a couple of frames) ahead of the audio in relation to the '240p' version---which itself is just slightly in front of the audio compared to the original. This is most noticeable during the really cool syncing moments (1:32, for example) and mostly negligible elsewhere. I hope you enjoy watching it. While you do, keep in mind that TOOL DID NOT INTEND FOR THIS. It just so happens to work nicely. To those who can't figure out how to enjoy this video, here's a tip: get an imagination.

Where do I start? Adam Jones...dude is amazing, always been a fan. Ran across a deal on a Silverburst EPI Paul a while back and jumped. It plays amazingly well after a setup and pup swap. I put a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and left the neck stock. There was a time I had a lot of hate in my heart for Epiphones but I'm over it, this thing plays great. Yea, I know I fucked up the solo, it happens. Typical I get one or two takes, this is attempt/take one. POD tone was dialed in on the spot and sounds good to me with one set of headphones, shitty and honky with another. Go figure..... It's impossible to get the right feedback without a cab on 11. I can't wait to get rid of the beesnest of fizz POD....as soon as my name comes up on the Fractal list. One of the best shows of my life was Tool back in the 90's. Part of my hearing never recovered from that show, specifically the solo of this song. The harmonics felt like they were going to shatter my teeth.
