The Escapist - The Streets

During a great period of intense mixing we decided that it might be nice to shoot a video. This isn't the way the record industry works and so it was under the radar of the label and done totally for us by us on a shoe string. It was totally different from any other promo that I've made in that it was something real that we just filmed rather than trying to create something real looking using lots of people and lots of angles. I feel like it's more than a video in that sense. Aswell as looking quite odd without all the singing and quick cuts

The Streets - Fit But You Know It

Best song in the album (Lyrics) [intro] Excuse me girl I know it's a bit embarrassing but I just noticed some tan lines On your shirt See I reckon you're about an 8 or a 9, Maybe even 9 and a half in four beers time. That blue top shop top you've got on IS nice, Bit too much fake tan though - but yeah you score high. But there's just one little thing that really really, Really really annoying me about you you see, Yeah yeah like I said you are really fit But my gosh don't you just know it I'm not trying to pull you Even though I would like to I think you are really fit You're fit But my gosh don't you know it So when I looked at you standing there with your hoard, I was waiting in the queue looking at the board Wondering whether to have a Burger or chips Or what the shrapnel in my back pocket could afford When I noticed out the corner of my eye Looking toward my direction Your eyes locked onto my course I couldn't concentrate on what I wanted to order, Which cost me my place in the queue I waited for YEAH I'm not trying to pull you Even though I would like to I think you are really fit You're fit but my gosh don't you know it Whoa! Leave it out Are you smoking crack or something? Leave it Out Mike just leave it just leave it We cannot have that behaviour in this establishment S'not worth it mike, just leave it Don't Touch Me, S'not Worth It Don't Touch Me, D, Look I'm Alright Don't Touch me For a while there I was thinking - yeah but what if? Avenged Sevenfold - Streets

FREE A7X MERCH!! tinyurl.com ------------------------------------------ 12/29/09 Rest in Peace, The Reverend Tholomew Plague, Mr. Jimmy Sullivan. A great sing-along song from Avenged Sevenfold from their first album, Sounding The Seventh Trumpet. Streets is one of the few songs from the album that is a bit more lighter, and it has no screaming at all. The bass parts are amazing, and completely blows away Waking The Fallen's bass parts. As usual, Jimmy Sullivan rocks the drums.
Where The Streets Have No Name (Studio Version)

The song Where The Streets Have No Name by U2 on their album Joshua Tree. No video sorry. Since there happens to be alot of dispute about the origion of this song, i thought i would make it clear. The song was written primarily about northern ireland and belfast, where you can tell someones religon, political group, and income just by the name of their street. A side note; if you know any of the 15 people who have disliked this song please track them down and remind them to take their medications

Fever Ray 'Keep The Streets Empty For Me'

The video for Fever Ray's 'Keep The Streets Empty For Me', taken from the album Fever Ray, is directed by Jens Klevje and Fabian Svensson, a dynamic director duo in the field of artistic moving image. They are based in south of Sweden were they running the visual bureau Conjunction.se. feverray.com Fever Ray and the song Keep the Streets Empty struck us immediately with its fateful sound and images of abandoned suburbia begun to grow in front of our eyes. We wanted to continue the journey that started in the former videos and our ambition was to catch the feeling in a very direct and true way and create a video where dream and reality intertwine. U2 - MLK + Where The Streets Have No Name (2002 Super Bowl Live)

U2 performed this at halftime of the 2002 Super Bowl between the Patriots and Rams. As they played, names of victims in the September 11 attacks were scrolled on a giant screen. At the end of the performance Bono opened his jacket to reveal an American flag in the lining. "Where the Streets Have No Name" is more like the U2 of old than any of the other songs on the LP, because it's a sketch - I was just trying to sketch a location, maybe a spiritual location, maybe a romantic location. I was trying to sketch a feeling. I often feel very claustrophobic in a city, a feeling of wanting to break out of that city and a feeling of wanting to go somewhere where the values of the city and the values of our society don't hold you down. An interesting story that someone told me once is that in Belfast, by what street someone lives on you can tell not only their religion but tell how much money they're making - literally by which side of the road they live on, because the further up the hill the more expensive the houses become. That said something to me, and so I started writing about a place "where the streets have no name." - Bono from Propaganda 5, 1987

Spain Taken the street for a TRUE DEMOCRACY - May 15th 2011 -

The day has come We have taken the streets for a true democracy now The day ,when the citizens have decided to meet and join their voices The day ,when we have covered the streets with a clear message WE ARE NOT SAFE IN POLITICIANS AND BANKERS HANDS And the message took the streets across the whole country And the streets celebrated that day as the first day that we have taken a true change. A change depends on YOU,on ME, on ALL OF US:young people, elder people, workers, unmployed people. The Media won't silence our voices any more because we have seen we are REAL people, just as the DEMOCRACY we are demanding. There is no excuse HISTORY is looking at us and it is our turn to make a movement We are ready to CHANGE: Change Injustice into justice Change Corruption into responsability and dignity Change Outrage into action Today, May the 15th, 2011 has been of something unstoppable The true Democracy of people who consciously choose their path True democracy who chose consciusly the way We are demanding a true democracy ,now Are you thinking that you can´t do anything? To accept your responsability is to take the challenge Be a part of the necessary change for a world which will be as you want it to be Democracy is your choice. Use it. twitter.com

Lyrics I want to run I want to hide I want to tear down the walls That hold me inside I want to reach out And touch the flame Where the streets have no name I want to feel, sunlight on my face See that dust cloud disappear without a trace I want to take shelter from the poison rain Where the streets have no name Where the streets have no name Where the streets have no name Were still building Then burning down love, burning down love And when I go there I go there with you... (Its all I can do) The cities a flood And our love turns to rust Were beaten and blown by the wind Trampled into dust Ill show you a place High on the desert plain Where the streets have no name Where the streets have no name Where the streets have ...
