kISS - Strutter '78
Unofficial Video from "Double Platinum" the first greatest hits album by the American hard rock band Kiss. Many of the songs on Double Platinum were remixed and significantly differ from their original versions. In the case of "Strutter," it was re-recorded with a slight disco beat and dubbed as "Strutter '78." Other songs ("Hard Luck Woman," "Detroit Rock City") had sections completely removed, while the beginning of "Black Diamond" was repeated at the end, fading out at the start of the first verse and giving the song a "wrap around" feel. Sean Delaney stated that it took eleven days to remix and re-edit the songs.[citation needed] The original vinyl release, in a gatefold-sleeve, had an embossed, silver-foiled sleeve, with the band members in bas-relief inside. The album was packaged with a printed "Platinum Award" thanking the Kiss Army for making the band a "Double Platinum Success". Later reissues would retain the gatefold-sleeve but replaced the logo with a printed, red-type version and the band members were now represented inside by photos rather than the bas illustrations. When the album was remastered for CD in the US it mimicked the original vinyl. The album was certified Platinum on May 16, 1978 by the RIAA. Ironically it never reached Double Platinum status. In Canada it was certified Gold on June 1, 1978 after selling 50000 copies
DSD Strutter Motion System
The motion system that I put together for my DSD strutter. You can probably modify this to a lot of other decoys as well. I tried the Zink Lifeline 360, but it is not sturdy enough to work with a DSD Strutter. Materials used: 2-foot piece of 1 1/4" x 3/4" wood Five small screw eyes Mini-carabiner Mini-bungee 30 yds of para-cord (15 yds per control line) 2 ground stakes 4" x 1/4" eye bolt with toggle large washer The toggle eye bolt and washer go in the decoy in the pre-existing hole. I couldn't readily find a long enough black eyebolt or large enough black washer so I used the black cloth to conceal them. Drill a hole in the middle of the wood for the decoy stake to go through. Drill a hole in either end of the wood for the ground stakes. Tip: wrap some black tape around your decoy stake just above the point where it goes through the wood, then you can always set it to the same height easily. Install two screw eyes on each end of the wood as shown, one more goes on the top where you will attach the mini-bungee (7-8" behind the hole for the decoy stake seems to work well). Attach the bungee, carabiner, and thread the para-cord as shown in the photos. Stake it down, place the decoy on, clip the carabiner with all lines to the toggle bolt (I used more paracord here to avoid having metal on metal). The entire thing can be left set up, just wrap the loose paracord around the wood to store/carry it. Crossing the lines in front of the decoy stake as shown will let you get a full <b>...</b>

Kiss - Strutter (Demo 1973)
Music: Kiss - Strutter (Paul Stanley / Gene Simmons, 1972). This second of the pre-Kiss later core songs was written before Peter Criss came into the picture. Like many other "collaborations", Paul borrowed the chord pattern of Gene's earlier "Stanley The Parrot" song and developed a new piece. According to Paul, "Once we picked up the tempo of it and started playing a lot suspended chords, the song developed a real Stones-y kind of feel" (Box Set liners). Paul saw the lyrics as describing, the glam movement of early 1970s New York, along with the strutting style of the song's music. Lyrically, the song is mostly Paul's creation, though Gene added the song's riff to the older original chord structure. Ace Frehley also latter had input on the song, "I wrote those inverted chords, and I think they were a great addition to the song. It's funny, but Paul and I never wrote a song together" (Guitar World, 1992). Recorded as a 4:57 demo, the song included musical features, notably the second guitar solo section, that were later removed as the song was further refined.
