I like the convenience of a computer setup but cringe at the thought of a computer crash during the creation and recording process. Creating Stereo Hi-Hats In Fl Studio Creating stereo hi-hat patterns in FL is quite easy. You can achieve this task even without additional plugins such as Stereo Enhancer and others. Step 1: Duplicate you existing hi-hat track. The new one will serve as a "ghost copy". Step 2 Link both tracks to two diffrent channels of FL's mixer. Step 3 Pan each track to an opposite extreme. Step 4 Delay the ghost copy by 35-45 ms. Step 5: Play everything together and adjust the volume and panning of each track in order to achieve more interesting results. That's it. It's very simple and works quite well on hi-hats, guitars, strings and other instruments. There are other ways to achieve similar results. Instead of cloning the second copy you can just play it - there are many songs where the stereo guitar parts are recorded two times in order to achieve the mentioned delay effect.
