On June 2nd it will have been two years since I got open heart surgery to close a hole in my heart, and since this experience I've lost just under 60 lbs. People have asked me how I've accomplished this, so I thought I'd make a video about it. My life and thoughts have changed so much from this experience. Its impossible to describe all the ways my life has been positively affected by going through this, but I thought I'd share a few of the positive ways my life has changed in this brief video :D

This video was shot in the beginning of August 2011, and I didn't film a follow up video around that time because there was a lot going on in my life including an infection from this surgery. =p I'm fine now and will hopefully film a follow up video shortly. haha this video was recorded kinda oddly, but it's the only footage I have from the recovery process of this surgery. oops. the guy in the video is my friend Tyler and he was trying to make me laugh by walking in while i recorded wearing his old wrestling uniform thing... hah -xox

"I had surgery 8 weeks ago, and I had my bunion removed and 2 hammer toes straightened. They put 2 pins in straight out my toes and 2 screws in for my bunion. I was sore the 1st couple of days but the pain medications helped. It was not so bad at all and I was walking right away. It is amazing to me remembering what it looked like 8 weeks ago and what it looks like today and the difference if amazing. I had surgery on my other foot a couple of years ago the experience was so pleasant I came back for more. I am extremely pleased with last surgery and you cant even tell I had anything done. I had a little physical therapy after surgery but didn't need much."

I still had a lot of pain at this point. It was very difficult to move around. Moving from side to side was very painful and difficult, but once you do it a few time you figure out how to manuver yourself to cause the least amount of pain. I just kept trying to reach my goals and it became easier as the day went on.
