There's currently an informational mistake in the video. The muzzle can aka sound suppressor aka silencer attached to the M60E4/Mk43 Commando in the video clip was not made by Badger Ordnance. Steve Helzer, General Manager, US Ordnance, told us during the shoot (machine gun/video shoot) that the can (sound suppressor) was a Badger Ordnance suppressor. This had gnawed at me since the shoot, since I've never known Badger Ordnance to make suppressors. So, I contacted US Ordnance about this within days of publishing the video here. Sure enough, Steve was mistaken. Within a few days after publishing the video, we were informed by Curtis Debord Sr., a consultant with US Ordnance, that the suppressor shown is a John's Guns R18 QD (Quick-Detach) suppressor (7.62mm NATO), possibly made from Inconel for high-heat resistance. We'll research this (raw material). In any case, the R18 can (suppressor) cut down the noize considerably, and definitely resisted a lot of heat. This is a superb modification to a great design, the Ruger Mk II/III .22 pistol. Tactical Solutions makes superb quality aftermarket receiver barrels for both Ruger and Browning .22 pistols. The Ruger receiver barrels are called the "Pac Lite" line. They also make barrels for Ruger 10/22s. Fitting a TS barrel to your Ruger pistol will transform it into a lightweight, superbly accurate, and funner gun. Barrels come in a wide range of colorations but my favorites are OD, Brown, and Matte Grey. For just a cool non-tactical look, Bright Blue is hard to beat. I recommend getting the fluted versions on all their barrels and paying the extra cost for the fitment Picatinny rails to the tops and bottoms for optical/light accessories. The Tactical Innovations suppressor is lightweight and well-made but as of yet I don't know how it stacks up against AAC or Gemtech offerings. But together they form an impressive and lightweight (and silent!) tactical .22 package. I had the stock weight recoil spring installed in that video which will not work with the added weight from the suppressor and 147grn ammo. I ordered a "tune" spring kit from wolff and found the right weight spring. It works 100% now. The ammo used is winchester 147grn TMJ so its subsonic The loud echo you hear is not the gun firing. Its from the 147grn projectile slamming into the wet mud at 1000FPS downrange. This video is old and I have more videos of better suppressors. Suppressor technology is advancing very fast these days as more and more find out how easy it is to legally own one. And yes, its a backyard, yes its legal and no its not a playground.
