Zdravko Colic - Ti mozes sve al jedno ne
Zdravko Čolić (Cyrillic: Здравко Чолић) (born May 30, 1951 in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Yugoslavia) is a Bosnian Serb singer, popular across the entire area of former Yugoslavia. Career: Since the youngest age Čolić showed an interest in singing and joined his elementary school choir, and they performed in the public on the national holidays. His first group was Ambasadori, which he joined in 1969 and stayed in the group for two and half years. There he met Kornelije Kovač, an influential figure in music circles and his road to stardom begun. After an unsuccessful spell in the Korni grupa, Čolić sang as a solist at a festival in Sarajevo, winning the third prize. He represented Yugoslavia in the Eurovision Song Contest 1973 with song "Gori vatra". It placed poorly, but it became a massive hit in Yugoslavia. His first solo album was Ti i ja (You and Me) in 1975. His second album, Ako priđeš bliže (If You Come Closer), from 1977, sold in 900000 copies, and sprouted some of the most well known and liked songs. He was like Yugoslavia's equivalent to John Travolta since he also was a good dancer. Čolić reached his pinnacle at the beginning of the 1980s, when he was arguably the most popular pop performer in the former Yugoslavia. In 1990, Čolić moved from his hometown Sarajevo to Belgrade. Indexi - Sve ove godine "Indexi" was a rock band popular in the former Yugoslavia. It formed in 1962 in Sarajevo and disbanded in 2001 when singer Davorin Popović died. Some of their most notable songs are "Plima", "Sve ove godine", "Svijet u kome živim", "Sanjam" and "Bacila je sve niz rijeku", which was later covered by many other ex-Yugoslavian groupsand used in many movies. Indexi formed in 1962, and their name was derived from the "Index" which was a students' grade log. They began by making instrumental covers of popular hits, but in 1967 started composing. They were known as the "Pioneers of Progressive Rock".

Laus Deo Semper www.CobusPotgieter.com http "Less is more" cerainly doesn't apply here, haha, definitely one of my most overplayed covers; starting with the song's drumming already being quite busy. LOVED it, though. Zac has a style that I love listening to and it's so much fun jamming along to this song. A technique that I stumbled accross while jamming a week or so before recording these covers, is hitting the cymbals from underneath; and although this looks kind of cool, the main reason is fluidity. I find the action to be much more natural when the stroke comes from exactly where it is; ie I had just finished hitting the floor tom, my hand is already underneath the cymbal, so it makes more sense to just hit it from there, as opposed to lifting it up and THEN hitting it; which equates to double the distance. Those kind of strokes feature quite regularly in the bridge of the song, I love using it. Just as a sidenote (for the audio engineers and mixer who might be wondering) NO replacement or triggering was done in this mix.
