We're getting closer and closer to crowning the Season 8 winner of So You Think You Can Dance, and one of our early favorites, Sasha Mallory, is still in the running! Stay tuned to learn more about the contemporary dancer. America fell in love with Season 8's most notable sister act, Sasha and Natalia Mallory. Unfortunately, only Sasha made it to the Top 20 this year, but her loyal sis has been rooting her on every step of the way. Hailing from Bakersfield, California, little Sasha began her formal training at the age of 5, via the Royal Academy of Dance method... as well as at the Boston Ballet School, Houston Ballet, and the Alvin Ailey School. These days, she considers herself a contemporary dancer. What's more, many of her solos are improvised right then and there to maintain spontaneity... Gotta love a risk-taker! Before making a splash on Season 8, Sasha was busy touring with American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert as one of his Glam Nation dancers. You also may recognize her from years past, since she auditioned in Seasons 4 and 7, going straight through Vegas both times — further proof that if at first you don't succeed, you should most definitely try, try again! I'm Jager Weatherby checking in from Wetpaint Entertainment, your go-to source for all the latest on So You Think You Can Dance. Today's topic of discussion? Filipino cutie Marko Germar. Stay tuned to hear his remarkable story. Marko specializes in jazz and hip hop, which makes him quite the powerhouse in the competition. He was also paired up with adorable front-runner Melanie Moore, so we're guessing he won't be seeing the bottom three any time soon. We fell in love with Marko during his Atlanta audition, especially after we learned about his loaded past... as in a loaded gun. Only a few years back, Marko found himself staring down the barrel of a gun when he was robbed while manning the front desk at his job. A sudden rush of adrenaline motivated Marko to fight back against the thief, which resulted in a bullet being fired into his shoulder. Not wanting to risk any complications that could end his dance career, Marko still carries the bullet in his shoulder today... which, if you ask us, is seriously bad-ass. After training in Guam for nine years, Marko moved to Los Angeles in 2008 to pursue his career in dance. In less bad-ass past history, Marko used to work at Disneyland as a dancer for the show "Aladdin" The Musical Spectacular. He lists Travis Wall as an inspiration <b>...</b>
