*This store is now a Stop & Shop. I do not know if they still have the T-53s.* These machines aren't that bad. I was hoping for something better than T-53s here, though. I didn't bring all the cans I had at home since I had a lot of Sprite cans, and Tomra machines will not take those ANYWHERE. I stopped at this store since I had to go out to NJ on a Saturday night at 9 PM, and this is a 24-hour store that also seems to have a 24-hour bottle return area, unlike an A&P-owned store would have.

This was a VERY small store, and probably wasn't regulated by New York State law to have RVMs, so I guess A&P just put them in voluntarily. These machines are right in front of the registers, but no one seemed to mind me filming them. A guy who came in with a ton of bottles let me use the machine since I had much less bottles than he did (I redeem my bottles about every week, and most others do them about every MONTH). Note how small this store's redemption area is, and there are only 3 machines, one for cans, one for glass, one for plastic.

These machines SUCK. They refused to take a good amount of my bottles, and this was all major brand stuff like Canada Dry and even DIET COKE that it would not take. I finished them up at Costco downstairs, which also has T-53s that I didn't film because there were too many employees near them. Can you believe that these machines take bottles only sold by Costco, but not ones Target sells?

This is the usual Target bottle room setup with four T-53s. The cans machine has a belt that makes a strange noise and sometimes doesn't move.

This plastic T-53 is by far the most interesting I've ever used, since the belts and rollers make this strange noise when you insert a bottle. The cans machine was broken and they couldn't fix it, so I wasn't able to use it. Also, sorry for the late startup, there were employees around and I didn't start filming until they walked away.

These RVMs are pretty beat up for T-53s that aren't even that old. Also, I had a TON of bottles, so this is a bit of a long video. Notice how these machines took ALL of my bottles that Costco doesn't sell.

Can you believe that ALL of the machines here except this were broken when this was filmed? As you could see, it was a GREAT day to redeem my bottles at Atlantic Center / Atlantic Terminal, but it got worse! When I went to Target to redeem my plastic bottles (since Pathmark's only plastic machine was broken), ALL of their RVMs were turned off! So, I went into Pathmark and informed them their RVMs were broken, and someone came out to fix them. After emptying every other machine, the plastic machine still thought it had a full bin! The store ended up having to call Tomra Metro, and I wasn't going to wait for them to show up, so I just took my bottles home to redeem later. One last thing, these machines were strangely located in the Atlantic Center Mall LOADING DOCK nowhere near the Pathmark store itself, and it smelled and looked HORRIBLE by these. Target across the street at Atlantic Terminal has a MUCH nicer bottle room!
