Conceptually, Mansoora Hassan wishes to use her series of works titled "The Dialogue Project" as catalysts to start a discussion and dialogue about various world events and issues, especially those pertaining to terrorism (and the use of suicide bombers). This hand-held video footage was taken by Hassan, at a peace march in Lahore, Pakistan. There was an overwhelming presence of women (young and old) from all walks of life including eminent human rights personalities like Asma Jahangir among others who are in support of peace. This peace march was arranged to show unwavering solidarity with the people of Swat Valley, resisting the Taleban onslaught; especially against the destruction of girls schools (thus the large presence of children). The slogans such as Pakistan Zindabad (Long live Pakistan), Hamein bombs nahi, rotee chayain (We dont want bombs, we want food), Taleban nahi, school chayain (No to Taleban, we want schools), Humein kafan nahi, aman chayain (No death-shroud, we want peace) being shouted on loud-speakers; the outspoken anti-terrorism and anti-war sentiment; the people marching are becoming a daily phenomenon in the country.
