Viva TV Spain's presenter Simon Baldock in a short clip from the story of 41 beagles who were saved from a testing lab in Barcelona, Spain and flown to the USA to be rehomed. The Little Pod foundation, which cares for lost, abandoned and mistreated animals on the Costa Blanca were made aware that a Laboratory in Barcelona was closing and the dogs needed to be re-homed or face being put down. Marie Stacey from Little Pod said, "As soon as we heard the news about the dogs we started circulating pleas for homes immediately via Facebook and to our amazement an Association in America called the Beagle Freedom Project offered to take all the dogs." The Beagle Freedom Project has chartered a plane which will fly the dogs to America where the charity will take over their rehabilitation and eventually re-home them. Series of simple voronoi fracture and shatter tests created using Phymec Tools. Scenes were all setup quickly, simulated in real-time, and rendered overnight. Didn't bother much with details or texturing. Rigid body / shard count kept reasonably low for these simple tests. These are primarily intended to be simple illustrative examples for some of the uses for voronoi fracture and shatter tools. The only real issue I've faced creating these is that I wasn't able to reliably retrieve from BGE the correct pre- and post-collision (immediately before and after) linear and angular velocities of rigid bodies involved in collisions in order to accurately calculate the post-collision velocities. This is a demonstration of the Lab Series L5. Made in the late 1970's. There arent a whole lot of decent quality demos of this amp around, and not everyone can find one in a local music store to try out, so I figured I would make a little demonstration for you all. I own a bunch of tube amps, and this is still one of my favorite amps! This particular model is a 100 watt 2x12, 2 channel. Similar amps were/are used by Ty Tabor, BB King, Ronnie Montrose, Allan Holdsworth, and others.

The video is showing prepping tires for Nebraska Tests. These tractors are tested at the Nebraska Tractor Test Lab on a concrete track. New Tires provide inconsistant results during the tests. As part of the preparation for these tests, the tires need to be heated to cure them. In addition, the tread bars on the tires are worn down to about 60% of new height. The tractor weighs about 60000 and has 12 tires mounted. The tires are 18 inches wide with 50 inch rims. They cost about $1500 each. We have had the Nikon D4, Nikon D800 and Canon 5D Mark III all come out. I can not recall a time when three professional cameras all have hit the market at the same time. This should be great news, there should be a lot of people happy to pick up a new body. But what has happend and what some people only seem to care about is how does it compare to this, how does it compare to that. What do the "test" shots look like in the studio, what DXO mark did it get. I have to say it, give me a break, stop the paralysis of analysis. Stop looking for issues with a camera and where its breaking points are. Stop the back and forth trying to figure out if you should buy the new camera based off of all these bs tests. With my new D4 I found myself taking test images trying to determine if this camera was better than my D3s. Than I sat there and said screw this, this is my new camera it is going to be great, shut up and just shoot. That is the moral here, get out there and shoot, stop testing and just shoot some real world pictures. The tests wont help you get a great image if don't know how to get a proper exposure or composition. A good DXO Mark doesn't mean anything if you don't know what you are doing. People <b>...</b>

NFPA Conference & Expo attendees got a tour of Underwriters Laboratories in Northbrook, Illinois. During the tour, UL conducted a live fire test in its large-scale fire test and research facility. This particular test involved three rows of rack storage loaded with palettes and cardboard boxes full of paper cups. The Story behind this video: I found these "Deco-Beads" at a local hardware store. I was looking for an additive I could put in the soil to eliminate dry patches in my lawn. These little beads are meant for decoration for wedding receptions or whatever. They come in a variety of colors so picked the red ones. I had no idea how long they took to swell up or how large they would get. I intended to make a time-lapse video showing the beads swelling up, thinking they would only take about 15 minutes to reach full size. After an hour I stopped the camera and (duh) read the instructions and found out they take 6 hours to reach full size. My computer would choke on an HD file that large and would take a good 48 hours or more to render such a huge file. I left the beads to soak and they eventually ended up measuring 5/8" (17mm) after a few days. The beads started out at 2.5 mm and ended up 17mm.
