
We patrolled downtown for one of the hottest shows during LA Fashion Week, BOXeights Fashion: Refocus. BOXeight founders wanted to refocus the limelight from the professional models to the people behind the scenes; the photographers, make up artists, stylists, and crew that make things happen. It was such an intimate setting that we had to attend the event the next day just to experience the full impact. The concept developed because we want to bring more exposure to the actual photographer, stylist team, the makeup artists, Peter Gurnz, Founder of BOXeight said. Gurnz, a photographer, said theyve only been in the studio for three years but have already produced fashion work for eight seasons. Azzurro Mallin CEO of BOXeight said the inspiration for BOXeight came from Pete. Pete is a very inspiring guy and it came from a motivation of just trying to show all the creative talent in Los Angeles. As for BOXeights future plans, President of BOXeight Michael Utsinger said, Skys the limit. We are fortunate to have the creative people that come to our door everyday. BOXeight plans to go national bringing this one-of-a-kind experience to Miami, Palm Springs, New York and the list goes on. On Saturday, we checked out the second set of the three day event which included the Fall 2010 collection of Le Sang des Betes, Lloyd Klein, Michael Costello and Eduardo Lucero set against artistic backdrops and avant-garde presentations.
