We patrolled The Grove Mall in Los Angeles for the first-ever World Wish Day by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Earlier today, Miley Cyrus granted 30 wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to meet the teenage pop sensation. Before Miley came on stage at around 6:30 pm, we were treated to special performances by Dancing with the Stars Mark Ballas and a number of licks from recording artist Jordan Pruitt. When Miley came onstage to perform The Climb to the crowd of screaming fans, the 17-year-old had this to say: Ive been involved with Make-A-Wish for awhile now. I think Ive granted 105 wishes or something like that. Ive met a lot of amazing people, survivors and fighters and very courageous people. The handsome trio, who stayed on the second floor of the Quicksilver store, waved at the screaming crowd and didnt come on stage until around 3:40pm. It was a rather unusual event as one of our photographers literally catches (no pun intended) in his arms, an almost unconscious fan just before she faints (nice job AC!) and gets bribed, with money, by another group of fans requesting access to the exclusive press area. We also saw one mother rushing out to get some air as the teenage crowd with non-stop screaming must have been a little too much. A lot of fans, some armed with placards, queued as early as 1 am and the line could be seen until the front entrance of Nordstrom. Victoria and David Beckham together with their kids enjoyed the show from the second floor of the La Piazza restaurant. The South Korean girl group Wonder Girls opened the act for the JoBros.

We caught up with Twilight: Eclipse star BooBoo Stewart, 16, and sister Fivel, 13, at the Unity For Peace Benefit Concert World Tour as it kicked-off at the House of Blues in Los Angeles last night. Last Friday the 13th, we patrolled Jimmy's Lounge in Santa Monica Boulevard for the wrap party of the psychological thriller 'Kill Katie Malone'. During our first interview, we spoke to director Carlos Ramos Jr. who shared his personal-paranormal experiences while filming on set at a haunted school and old cemetery. The interview went as planned until the raw video hit the editing room and found out that half of the whole cast interview was ruined - a first for us. Needless to say, we put the tape to rest and went on to edit the succeeding cast interviews... We asked the cast (from what was left of the tape) headed by Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman), Stephen Colletti (One Tree Hill, Laguna Beach) Nick Hogan, Cassandra Jean (America's Next Top Model) and Lil J if they believe in ghosts and if they experienced this "paranormal activity" during the filming of 'Kill Katie Malone.' The psychological thriller Kill Katie Malone revolves around the ghost of an Irish servant girl who terrorizes students in a local college. It is slated for a 2010 release. The event is the collaborative effort of many designers and celebrities as well as women impacted by breast cancer to celebrate the Pink Dress as the new symbol for women and breast cancer awareness. We patrolled the Tesla Motors Showroom in Los Angeles, California for "The Homes That Hollywood Built" hosted by 90210's Annalynne McCord benefitting St. Bernard Project on October 9, 2010. The St. Bernard Project was founded in March 2006 and is a thriving rebuilding organization that has helped over 120 families affected by Hurricane Katrina and Rita move back into their homes (www.StBernardProject.org). Yet, nearly 2000 families still reside in FEMA trailers and thousands of others live in FEMA/DHS supported housing. Their goal is to raise $525000 (enough to rebuild about 35 homes) in hopes of helping these survivors return back to their homes as soon as possible!

We patrolled the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood for the Friends Without a Borders First Annual Los Angeles Gala Benefiting the Angkor Hospital for Children and were delighted to see the presence of some of Hollywoods brightest stars such as Anne Hathaway, Eva Longoria-Parker, Jennifer Morrison (House), Odette Yustman (Cloverfield), Dania Ramirez (Heroes), Carlos Bernard (24), Amy Smart (Crank), Paula Patton (Precious), Robin Thicke, Amaury Nolasco (Prison Break) and Common who graciously took time out of their impossibly busy schedules to support this cause. During the event, The Fashion Patrol caught up with Ali Larter, Busy Philipps, Carter Jenkins and Katerina Graham to find out what makes this endeavor so special to them.

We patrolled downtown for one of the hottest shows during LA Fashion Week, BOXeights Fashion: Refocus. BOXeight founders wanted to refocus the limelight from the professional models to the people behind the scenes; the photographers, make up artists, stylists, and crew that make things happen. It was such an intimate setting that we had to attend the event the next day just to experience the full impact. The concept developed because we want to bring more exposure to the actual photographer, stylist team, the makeup artists, Peter Gurnz, Founder of BOXeight said. Gurnz, a photographer, said theyve only been in the studio for three years but have already produced fashion work for eight seasons. Azzurro Mallin CEO of BOXeight said the inspiration for BOXeight came from Pete. Pete is a very inspiring guy and it came from a motivation of just trying to show all the creative talent in Los Angeles. As for BOXeights future plans, President of BOXeight Michael Utsinger said, Skys the limit. We are fortunate to have the creative people that come to our door everyday. BOXeight plans to go national bringing this one-of-a-kind experience to Miami, Palm Springs, New York and the list goes on. On Saturday, we checked out the second set of the three day event which included the Fall 2010 collection of Le Sang des Betes, Lloyd Klein, Michael Costello and Eduardo Lucero set against artistic backdrops and avant-garde presentations.
