Titanic Sinking in Reverse

I've always wondered what it looked like if you rewound the Titanic sinking footage, and that's what I decided to do. I couldn't get the audio to sound ok backwards, so I added Hymn to the Sea by James Horner. Also, sorry for the few cutting issues. I tried to fix them in editing but they kept on showing up. Must have something to do with the reversed footage. Anyway, enjoy and leave comments!

Model Titanic Sinks & Splits

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Titanic sinking, here is the latest revision of the five-year-old "Model Titanic Sinks" series. Two Academy-Minicraft 30" 1:350 scale Titanic models, specially modified by the RapidNadion W&M Shipyards to sink as the real Titanic did, were used in the creation of this video. Shot with a Casio Exilim FC-150 and a GoPro Hero HD. For much more information on these models, check out our Channel Page. That FATEFUL Night - How The Titanic Sank

On the night of April 14th, 1912, the RMS Titanic, bound from Southampton to New York, on her Maiden Voyage, collided with an iceberg in the North Atlantic. The iceberg ripped open the first 5 compartments and the Titanic sank in the early hours of April 15th, taking the lives of 1523 men, women and children. ONLY 705 survived that night. Here's how that ship met its doom.

DOWNLOAD HERE: newsdirect.nma.com.tw On April 15, 1912, the Titanic was on its maiden voyage from the UK to New York when it struck an iceberg and sank to the bottom of the Atlantic. A detailed map of the wreckage created by combining by 130000 images captured by unmanned submarines during an expedition in 2010 suggests that while the bow glided nose-first to the bottom of the ocean, the stern picked up speed as it corkscrewed to the bottom of the ocean. Details on the findings appear in the April 2012 edition of National Geographic and a History Channel documentary that will air on April 15. Sources: National Geographic, AP, BBC, Cincinnati Post

Titanic - The Sinking

First off... this is not intended to accumulate profit of any kind... it was made pro-bono for the sole purpose to entertain and to stir emotionally(is that not what all art intends?)... anyways, I do not own rights to any of the material used within the confines of this clip.. i merely arranged and juxtaposed the two works on top of each other. Furthermore, about 85% what you see is completely untouched and straight from the movie... i merely dissected and replaced about 30-50 seconds(cant remember exactly) of footage to better accompany the audio track.. but other than that.. everything is straight out of the movie. anyways.. i hope you enjoy. -nods-

Titanic Sinking Simulation - Updated 2012

This animation was created during James Cameron's - Final Word Documentary on National Geographic. It shows a different scenario for the ship's sinking than the one shown in the feature film in 1997. Cameron was tempted to use the new animation in the film's 3D release in April 2012 however decided that the original animation was as good as it could have been for the information he and his researchers had at the time of filming. Main changes: Only 23 degrees of trim was reached by the stern The stern did not bob about on the surface for a couple of minutes The double bottom was the remaining piece holding the structure together and when it eventually failed it was left attached to the stern which flooded, sank and the waterflow over the double bottom broke it off and flung it away from the wreck site explaining its final resting position Also notice the effect of the hydraulic downblast and outburst on the structures when both hit the bottom. This is due to the wake of water the ship leaves behind it when it is travelling to the bottom. When each piece finally hits the seabed it stops dead, however the water flow above it keeps going and crashes down on each part collapsing the decks on top of each other and flattening the structures. Had to be recorded off the screen due to the lack of a hypercam. This content belongs to National Geographic. No copyright infringement intended.

In the meantime, here's the 30" Titanic model from our other videos, this time shot from different angles and including sound - listen for the whistling of air escaping during the final plunge. The model is by Academy-Minicraft, with custom modifications including "iceberg damage" and special interior compartmentalization and sealing. Considering it's been 2 years since the last sinking of this model, we think it's held up pretty well. Approximate time for this sinking was three minutes. I have slowed the video by 25% from the 1:10 mark onward. Thanks for your continued interest!

Captain Smith on the Bridge of the Titanic. The video also shows various ships such the Carparthia returning from rescuing survivors. Journalists interviewing survivors. Guglielmo Marconi, the inventor of long distance radio transmission and who was credited with saving those who were saved because of his marvelous invention. Although it says this was shot on April 2nd, 2012, British Pathe think it was probably earlier. The ship still looks like work is being done to it with lots of workmen still around. The Titanic's name is in black as is other parts of the ship which ultimately ended up as white. How Titanic Sank

RMS Titanic was the largest passenger steamship in the world when she set off on her maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New York City on 10 April 1912. Four days into the crossing, at 23:40 on 14 April 1912, she struck an iceberg and sank at 2:20 the following morning, resulting in the deaths of 1517 people in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. An Olympic-class passenger liner, RMS Titanic was owned by the White Star Line and constructed at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Ireland. She set sail for New York City with 2227 people on board. The high casualty rate when the ship sank was due in part to the fact that, although complying with the regulations of the time, the ship carried lifeboats for only 1178 people. A disproportionate number of men died due to the women and children first protocol that was followed. Titanic was designed by some of the most experienced engineers, and used some of the most advanced technologies available at the time. It was a great shock to many that, despite the extensive safety features, Titanic sank. The frenzy on the part of the media about Titanic's famous victims, the legends about the sinking, the resulting changes to maritime law, and the discovery of the wreck have contributed to the interest in Titanic. A Night to Remember (1958) - The Titanic Sinks (15 April 1912)

A Night to Remember (1958) - The Titanic Sinks (15 April 1912) The RMS Titanic, the largest and most luxurious passenger ship of it's time, sank 100 year ago on 15 April 1912 after striking an iceberg in the North Atlantic on it's maiden voyage. Of its 2223 passengers over 1500 perished, making it one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. A Night to Remember is a 1958 docudrama film adaptation of Walter Lord's book A Night to Remember (1955), recounting the final night of the RMS Titanic. It was adapted by Eric Ambler, directed by Roy Ward Baker, and filmed in the United Kingdom. The production team, supervised by producer William MacQuitty, used blueprints of the ship to accurately create the sets, while Titanic fourth officer Joseph Boxhall and ex-Cunard Commodore Harry Grattidge both worked as technical advisors on the film. The film premiered in the United Kingdom on Tuesday 1 July 1958. Titanic survivor Elizabeth Dowdell attended the American première in New York on Tuesday December 16, 1958. Among the many films about the Titanic, A Night to Remember has long been regarded as a high point by Titanic historians for its accuracy, despite its modest production values when compared with the 1997 Oscar-winning film Titanic. The sinking of the RMS Titanic occurred on the night of 14/15 April 1912 in the north Atlantic Ocean, four days into her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City. TITANIC sinking

100 year anniversary tribute to the sinking of RMS Titanic. Shots from the movie combined with the digital recreation of the event in order to create both factual and emotional impression of the accident. RMS Titanic was a passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on 15 April 1912 after colliding with an iceberg during her first voyage from Southampton, UK to New York City, US. The sinking of Titanic caused the deaths of 1514 people in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. Titanic was the largest ship at the time and was called 'the unsinkable'. After leaving Southampton on 10 April 1912, Titanic called at Cherbourg in France and Queenstown (now Cobh) in Ireland before heading westwards towards New York.[2] On 14 April 1912, four days into the crossing and about 375 miles (600 km) south of Newfoundland, she hit an iceberg at 11:40 pm (ship's time; GMT−3). The glancing collision caused Titanic's hull plates to buckle inwards in a number of locations on her starboard side and opened five of her sixteen watertight compartments to the sea. Over the next two and a half hours, the ship gradually filled with water and sank. Passengers and some crew members were evacuated in lifeboats, many of which were launched only partly filled. A disproportionate number of men -- over 90% of those in Second Class -- were left aboard due to a "women and children first" protocol followed by the officers loading the lifeboats.
