Thibaut attended piano classes from the age of four. In 1998, he entered the choir "les Petits Chanteurs du Collège Saint-Pierre" in Uccle, Bruxelles, where he gained his first vocal abilities. He went on tour with the choir to Switzerland in 1999 and to Canada in 2000. In 2003, he went to the United States and to Canada as a soloist soprano and in 2005 to Ireland. He also joined "Les Petits Chanteurs de Belgique" for their winter tour in Switzerland and Italy. He was the soloist for the Carols for Christmas 2004 and 2005 at the "Palais des Beaux-Arts" in Brussels where he was accompanied by the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra and 120 choristers. Eager to progress, Thibaut followed international classes organised by the International Music Academy at Saint-Cast le Guildo in Brittany. He was taught by Greta De Reyghere, professor at Liège Royal Conservatory and became afterwards one of her regular students. Thibaut is one of the two French-speaking Belgians to have sung in the presence and in honour of His Holiness the pope Benoît XVI during the Pueri Cantores international Congress in Rome on the 3Oth of December 2005. Casting of two bells for Great St Marys church, Cambridge.
Casting the first two bells of the new peal of 12 (+1 semitone) which are destined for Great St Marys in Cambridge. These are 1 and 2 of the 12. It was a great priviledge to be present at the casting of bells at Taylors. So many of the bells i have rung on and enjoyed greatly were cast here in this very building- huge amounts of top quality bells that left Freehold Street destined for towers and turrets across the country and the world to sing beautifully and be enjoyed by so many. Not quite a pilgrimage, but a very special trip. I had visited the foundry 9 years ago but had never seen a bell being cast. My thanks to Taylors Eayre and Smith and Steve for letting me wander round a bit, take pictures and make recordings.

Kai Podack(treble) - Feinsliebchen
The German boy soprano, Kai Podack, joined the Aurelius Sängerknaben Calw at 6; at age 9 he already sang one of the 3 boys in Mozart's Zauberflöte, at the Alte Oper in Nice. It was followed by numerous other solo roles, and CD-productions and youth music federal prizes. After his voice broke at age 15, he decided against the traditional way to study jazz and pop music at the Musikhochschule of Mannheim with Reinette van Zjetfeld Lustig and Professor Ann Malcolm. Meanwhile in the 6th Semester, he plays with his Ensemble Kai's Jazz Crew, the Space Combo (Funk), various cover bands, and next he will play partly with the Bundes Jugend Jazz Orchester (Federal Youth Jazz Orchestra). He made his operatic debut at age twelve singing the Tosca shepherd on the nationally-televised Live From Lincoln Center with Luciano Pavarotti, "Great Performers at Lincoln Center - Pavarotti Plus!" which aired on PBS February 28, 1990. Two nights later, he opened in the role of Kurt in New York City Opera's revival of The Sound Of Music, directed by James Hammerstein II. Ted was also cast in Tannhauser and Billy Budd at the Met. For two consecutive seasons, he performed the title role in the Lincoln Center production of Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors. Ted's first recording "The Treble Boys was released in 1991. He also made a guest appearance on Placido Domingo's recording, "The Broadway I Love," in which he portrays a younger Domingo in "Try To Remember". Born Leonard Yeomans, he became a chorister at St. Barnabas', Hackney from where he was discovered and put on the stage of the Pavilion Theatre, London [March-June 1933] with the stage name of Master Leslie Day. His manager appears to have been Lilly Denville. According to a review, audiences clamoured nightly for encores. Aged fourteen or fifteen, Leslie Day made four records and later appeared in two films, Television Follies English, in 1933 - in which he sang Love's Old Sweet Song, and Musical Medley Mancunian, in 1935 (when he must have been seventeen). I have, as yet, been unable to trace copies of either film. The Pirates of Penzance, or The Slave of Duty, is a comic opera in two acts, with music by Arthur Sullivan and libretto by WS Gilbert. It is one of the Savoy Operas. The opera's official premiere was at the Fifth Avenue Theatre in New York City on 31 December 1879, where the show was a hit with audiences and critics. The London premiere was on 3 April 1880, at the Opera Comique, where it ran for 363 performances, having already been playing successfully for over three months in New York. Pirates remains popular today, taking its place along with The Mikado and HMS Pinafore as one of the most frequently played Gilbert and Sullivan operas.
