Here's a little photo tour of the 27 rank, Estey-Frizsche Pipe Organ, built in 1925 by Estey and rebuilt in 1975 by Frizsche. Don't forget to subscribe! The Original 1925 Estey Organ: When this organ was first built, it was 25 ranks, including 9 ranks of Strings; additionally, all ranks on the swell were in 73 note cases, and therefore there was a 4' for every 8' on the swell, and a 2 foot for the one stop that ended at 4', so I guess you could say it was 38 ranks in essence. It featured three 16' Flues, four 8' reeds, and because of the 73 note cases, it had three 4' reeds, in essence. ALL pipes in the entire organ were enclosed, and the Great had a tremulant, and the pedal and swell shared a second tremulant. While it was a WONDERFUL romantic organ, it lacked a pedal reed, and had only had one mixture: a 3 rank *string* mixture, and as far as upper work goes, only one 2' stop was included. The 1975 Frizsche Rebuild/Ruination: In 1975 the extra octaves on all the swell ranks were removed. Additionally, the Tuba, Cornopean, Oboe, and Vox Humana were removed, and replaced with a Moller Trumpet, salvaged from an instrument from the 1940's, and a 4' Schalmei. The III rank String Mixture was replaced with a III Plein Jieu, and while one of the Swell's 8' diapasons was kept, the other was replaced with a 4' principal. In the pedal, the 16' Gedakt was removed to make way for a 16' Posaune, and the a unified principal was added available at 8-4, the 8 ' bass flute was removed <b>...</b>
